Someone is doing one to one replacement which makes no sense as x+3 or so number of M-III/V are needed to make sure one is available, not sure to the availability rate for F-7s in PAF service. With higher availability rate for JF-17s / J-10 the need drops for needed numbers.
Question here was M-III being converted into escort Jammers, in that case JF-17s out classes it by miles. Yes, indeed E-1000 type jet would be perfect for PAF, heck imagine E-1000 type Jammer both in PAF and PN use ( wishful thinking though as PAF would never touch E-1000 as it has been selected...
vs M-III / V ? in the EW specs the M-III wouldn't come anywhere close to JF-17 in range unless it receives multiple AARs. JF-17 with two inner wing tanks should be able to stay up for easy 90 odd mins if not more while M-III with no fuel tanks ( lack of hardpoints ) will be long bone dry without...
Are we sure about that ? my understanding was that to produce further A-90Bs the steel had to be procured from France or elsewhere as Pak Steel couldn't make HY-80 or similar type.
If they can now then awesome news.
Lessons of 71 says otherwise. Lessons of 2/27 say / repeat about the same as PAF along with IAF struggled in the end to keep up the sortie rate and IN Air Arm wasn't even involved.
They did and a stealthy version too called the J-31. Off course they had to modify the tail, wings, main fuselage, nosecone etc to accommodate twin engines.
It can still be great retirement home for them as long as they let the competent folks do their jobs, win win for all. it's the <beep> superiority complex that is the bane of most if not all the issues Pak faces.
That looks like a fixed main landing gear, the wing layout would likely won't be able to stand the Mach 1 or higher speeds, the sonic boom will rip those wings apart. If that Main landing gear is fixed then the max speed is likely close to 150 - 180 Kn.
PS: However, someone with aerospace...
Don't think they care, Nation Sold to the East or to the West, it don't matter much to them, at the end the Sheep just want to have food, Shelter and Clothing, rest don't matter.
GHQ will always be able to negotiate DRIP at some cost not matter what, lucky today Pak has India to the East that...
It requires long term thinking, something lacking at times in Pak case. Sadly for PN, they get short end of the stick most of the times and then end up with just bread crumbs when it comes to Military Inc funds. I do hope that this time they are able to pull 10 odd Sea Sultans platforms with as...
