Hyderabadi woman being tortured by her in-laws in Pakistan calls Sushma Swaraj for help, MEA swings

Look, you do have a valid point. But that applies equally to all of South Asia. Instead of being able to build the necessary mechanisms to get work done, we praise ad-hoc interventions such as this. If the Minister for External Affairs ends up personally coordinating rescue of two Indians stuck in Yemen, it shows institutional failure. Nothing to be proud of really.

Finally some sense. Than you.

Good for him.

Nope, its good for Indians.

Maybe not for you, but it is a big relief of the parent of that poor muslim women stuck in pakistan. Not to mention the women herself begging to be rescued from hell. And that is all that matters.

What matters is whether someone bothered to find why our MEA has to take care of these things personally. Was anyone at the Ministry or High Commission fired for not responding to these pleas earlier? And in case all these recent cases were not referred through proper channels, is there any visible campaign to raise awareness amongst expats as to who they should approach in such situation?

Without that, the motive is quite clear.

MEA does not have to give priority to this particular woman. She is just another statistics for the MEA and the Indian mission in pakistan. She is hardly the first one to have problems in pakistan and she is in a mess of her own making. Its not the MEA's job compensate for her stupidity.

1. She should have verified his nationality before marrying him. (maybe she did and is now lying to save her own @ss)
2. She should have come back to India when she discovered her husband is a pakistani.
3. She should have renewed her Indian passport and not let it lapse.
4. She should have found some job in pakistan to sustain herself.
5. She should have found local support and earned good will that would have helped her escape an abusive husband.
6. She should have asked her parents for money and escaped into India with her kids before things went out of hand
7. She should have approached the courts.

She is lucky that she has Modi for PM and SS for FM, leaders who take a more humanitarian approach to issues.

The only motive I can see is a deep desire to help Indians. But your views and "motive" on the other hand seems far more sinister.

So one second she is a "poor Muslim woman" who needed help, according to you. And the next minute she is nothing but a statistic who is totally at fault for her predicament. Explains a lot. Have a good day.

She is a statistics and a poor muslim women, a foolish muslim women, a foolish women, a India women etc. and more.

LOL at your inability to see beyond your narrow prism. That explains a lot too.

Even the foolish need help, and sometimes people have to be saved from themselves.

Why on earth do these people insist on marrying their Sons and daughters in Pakistan is beyond me. I have seen so many marriages go bad, both ways, Pakistani bride/Indian bride. There are 250 Million Muslims in India, find their spouses within the country.

Agreed. Stay on your own side.

First the sufi saints were illtreated and now this . What is happening to pakistan or is this par for the course their ?

Why are you Indians so desperate to come to Pakistan? No one likes you here. Stop coming here because no one is forcing you. Those Indian Sufi morons came by their own initiative. Pakistan never invited or forced them to come. First, you obtain our visas and make all sorts of excuses to visit. Just stay on your own side. You Indians are like Afghans. Ungrateful.

So the husband gets jobless and wife remembers her Indian passport after 12 years. Some Indian Loyalty there

I think you should understand her concerns- If she goes to Pakistan It is 100% sure that ISI will kidnap her and declare her as a RAW agent responsible for terrorism in Baluchistan- Like they tried to do with our Sufi Clerics- after blowing up of the Shrine and now this kidnapping have scared Indian Muslims-

And of course...All of this comfortably ignores that it was always someone else in the Ministry/High Commission that should have looked into the matter. Had that been done, Sushma Swaraj would have been denied the opportunity to "help" the "foolish" woman. Now where is the fun in that?

The sooner we get out of a culture of tokenism and start appreciating institutional mechanisms, the better off we will be.

So now the guy got jobless, she just wanted to leave him. Ofcourse when you are out of job, it effects your psyche and attitude. This woman doesn't look like a homemaker to me. She wanted to leave him when he needs her most.

Would love to hear the traits of a Homemaker from you. Especially who has given five children to her husband.

Ya right .Needs her most ,a guy that beaten up his wife and locked in room .

We have 25 crore Muslims here ,why should they chose some foreigners .
In this case ,it was a cheating .

But still brother he has not right to treat her like that if he beat her or mental tourcher islam don't allow men to treat their women like this.
Why the hell indian minister have to intervene there millions of indian women need her intention with in india. Is she able to solve any of this kind od issues with in indian capital? Just a drama she is.

Lol:lol:
Sushama Swaraj is our Foreign Minister .
Her department is MEA .Her duty is to ensure the protection of each and every India national that sufferes in foreign nations.

For domestic affairs ,we have others.

He is the Super Mom of India .And he is one of the best minister in our GoI .Perhaps even better than PM

if you are a real husband your wife would have confidence in your ability to find a new job
is there a compulsion to stay in a relationship ?

I think I agree with you.

Sushwa Swaraj has on purpose sabotaged the workings of the MEA so that she gets countless opportunities to "help foolish men and women" and use their plight to get votes.

In your Lexicon, Modi is "Mauth ka Saudagar", and Sushwa Swraj is "Misery ka Saudagar". :coffee:

OTOH a person who has a desire to help people will actually find a Million ways to help somebody. And one of those
million helps will find its way into the news. Too bad you cannot handle the truth. Enjoy the Butt hurt. Hope there is sufficient "fun in that".

And there goes politicizing every issue. As expected. If you think that every forum is an opportunity to flash your Saffron credentials, then we are done talking. Good bye.
