Sirsa, October 7: Just days after the surgical strikes were successfully carried out in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (Azad Kashmir), the Kashmiri apples transported to Haryana bore anti-India slogans.
The incident came to light at the Sirsa vegetable market. When the two boxes of Kashmiri apples were opened, two apples among them had anti-India slogans written over them.
'We want freedom,' and 'dogs go back' were the two lines repeated on both the apples. Following the incident, the intelligence agencies have been alerted in the region. The two apple boxes were purchased by Bata colony resident Harish Kumar.
Another slogan read, "We are freedom fighter from Kashmir, Pulwama." Harish's son Parag saw the offensive message and came back to the vendor from whom he had purchased the apples suspecting he had written it.
However, the vendor told him that he was illiterate and had no knowledge of the incident. Talking to media, Parag said that language used and written on the apples is highly objectionable.
He questioned how can Kashmiri forget the Indian Army who is always ready to help them. During floods, the soldiers even carried them on shoulders, he asserted.
Earlier, balloons and a grey pigeon were found near the border areas carrying messages against Prime Minister Narendra Modi written in Urdu. The pigeon apparently from Pakistan was taken into custody. Also, two balloons with threatening messages were recovered on October 1.
