Zia in 1987 warned india by threatening them "If indian troops enter an inch into Pakistan,We will vapourize india"

It was also believed that in 1987 Pakistan had got the bomb able to be delivered.

Indians has taken this warning so seriously that since than no indian troop has ever crossed into Pakistan rather instead remain within 500m of there own territory(Except ocassional indian terrorists infiltration into Pakistan)

GEN. ZIA’S FAMOUS THREAT TO INDIAN PM RAJIV GANDHI IN 1987

The Representative of India Today included the comments of BehramNam – Special Advisor to Indian PM Rajiv Gandhi, on his article on Gen. Zia-ul-Haq’s visit to India. He writes,

“Pakistan President General Zia-ul-Haq arrived in New Delhi (enroute to Chennai to watch the Pakistan-India Test Match) without any invitation. At that time, Indian PM was not ready to meet Gen. Zia at the Airport. Indian Army were waiting for PM orders for an Attack on Pakistan through the Rajasthan Sector. In such a situation, it was improper to meet the Pakistani President. But Opposition Leaders & Cabinet Members were of the view that despite that the Pakistani Leader arrived without any invitation, it will be against Diplomatic Norms not to meet him & would cause misunderstandings about the Indian leadership on an International Level.

On our persuasion, Rajiv Gandhi went to the Airport the receive the President of Pakistan. Gen. Zia was accorded a lukewarm response from the Indian Prime Minister with an uninterested handshake without making any eye-contact. Rajiv Gandhi said to me, “Gen. Zia has to go to Chennai to watch the Cricket Match, so accompany him & take care of him”. I thought that Bhagwan how strong is this man, that inspite of an insulting behaviour from Rajiv Gandhi, Gen. Zia kept smiling.

Before his departure, Gen. Zia turned to Rajiv Gandhi and said, ‘Mr. Rajiv, you want to attack Pakistan, go ahead and do it. But keep in mind that after this the World would forget Hulagu Khan & Gengis Khan & will only remember Zia-ul-Haq & Rajiv Gandhi. Because this will not be a Conventional War but a Nuclear War. In this situation, Pakistan might be completely destroyed, but Muslims will still be there in the World, but however with the destruction of India, Hinduism will vanish from the face of this earth’.

Cold-drops of perspiration were visible on Rajiv Gandhi’s forehead. I felt sensation in my backbone. These were only few minutes, but Gen. Zia seemed to us a very dangerous man. With a stern-face, Gen. Zia’s eyes showed that he meant business. I was astonished, that after this stern warning, in a flash, Gen. Zia started smiling as if nothing happened & warmly shook hands with other hosts. Except Rajiv Gandhi & myself, that this Gen. Zia had created problems for the Indian PM by threatening him of Nuclear War.”

It seems like you were either sleeping or never attended any history class.

Even though Pakistan was on offensive but the threat was made in 1987,3years after the siachen battle

Yes but was not in the form to be delivered by any mean such as Aircrafts

So the threat was made after the deed was done. Like closing the stable doors after the horse has bolted.

Anyway @shuntmaster, let's not deprive them of their feel good fairytales.

The Siachen dispute has resulted in thousands of casualties from both sides, mainly because of adverse climatic conditions and harsh terrain. This is despite the fact that leaders in Islamabad and New Delhi keep acknowledging the human and economic costs of the conflict. According to careful estimates by defence analysts, Pakistan spends approximately Rs15 million a day to maintain three battalions at the Siachen Glacier, which makes Rs450 million a month and Rs5.4 billion a year. On the other hand, the deployment of seven battalions at the Glacier costs India Rs50 million a day, Rs1.5 billion a month and Rs30 billion a year.

On an average, defence experts say, one Pakistani soldier is killed every third day on the Siachen Glacier, showing approximately 100 casualties every year on an average. Similarly, one Indian soldier is killed every other day on the Siachen Glacier, at an annual average of 180 casualties. According to unofficial figures, over 3,000 Pakistani soldiers have lost their lives on the bloody Siachen Glacier between April 1984 and April 2012 as against over 5,000 Indian casualties. At present, there are approximately 7,000 Indian Army troops and about 4,000 Pakistani troops stationed at the Siachen Glacier.

That's BS back in Rajiv-Zia days even if India and Pakistan had nuclear bombs hidden from the world (highly unlikely) they didn't had any delivery system back then. Although India did had Space Rockets(ASLV) which could have been modified into Nuclear tipped Ballistic Missile in case of emergency but that's a different matter.

No not at all, Rajeev Gandhi was one of the mellowest prime minister. In 1984 Pakistani wanted to capture sia-chin. Those Pakistani fools bought trekking gears from UK. Indian agencies saw the move and before Pakistani reach sia-chin, Indian reach there.

Indian forces achieve there objective. Pakistan a$$ was buring, everyday Mullah forces (Mullafied Army) was creating a fear among public that India is planning to attack.

The truth was India was not planning any attack. This Zia incident is re-created by greatest fool on earth "Prophet Zaid Hamid"
