Under construction since 2016, Sanjiangyuan National Park in NW China's Qinghai is scheduled to open by end of 2020. Sanjiangyuan, or "source of three rivers," is home to headwaters of Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang rivers.

The Siberian tiger is one of the most endangered animals in the world and lives in Russia, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and northeastern China. Its conservation status is of vital importance. In 2017, the pilot Northeast China Tiger and Leopard National Park's administration was established, aiming to protect Siberian tigers, Amur leopards, and other wildlife.

The park stretches across two provinces, with a land area of over 14,600 square kilometers. Why is the park so enormous? How does it feel to work there? Here's the story of Liu Guoqing, a forest ranger in the park.

The Chinese alligator, or the Yangtze alligator, is the smallest of all alligator species. They were once common in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. But their numbers once dropped to an estimated sum of 150. Captive breeding efforts have raised that number to over 16,000.
