if you had to chose right now between those birds, which one would you chose and Why....and can you believe these birds are more than 20 years apart..? and 5th gen planes....

Friend ...
why dont you punch in some details as well ...to help us decide..

oops..... ull realize there are to details for Jxx also Black window has to proper details (for analysis comparision ) as only 2 were built ...

:coffee:

We don't know what the real JXX is like yet while the BlackWidow prototype has been produced and flown. You can't make fair assessments until the JXX comes out.

What is comparison between a failed/canceled project YF-23 and future top-of-the-line air-superiority stealth fighter? Have a look at YF-23 that there are only 2 (Yes No. Two) of them that exist. About J-XX, you don't even know a thing and you want to compare them? Wakeup!

We don't know the J-XX's specs, so far it's a paper plane so you can't compare the 2.

would you truly call it Failed? I mean going against the YF-22 its very very impresive, I myself wanted the Widow to win because it was more steathier than the F-22 and more cost effective

future top-of-the-line air-superiority stealth fighter?
Top of the Line? compare to what? the F-22 Sukhoi T-50 ?

Cool, so this 5th gen bird also resembles the F-22? I mean the T-50 also Resembles the Raptor.....

? and what makes you think its not top of the line? Got some facts about it? Without any knowledge of its specs, you would be as wrong as I could be. As the facts stand, we are not in position to discuss/compare it.

CAC is investing into the J-XX project in a major way. Chengdu is apparently following an iterative approach with up to 4 different prototypes to test out different powerplant and avionics combinations. They have apparently opted to use the existing WS-10A engine as a baseline for rapid prototyping. The WS-10A is certified and provides thrust vectoring but has a higher IR signature. But I heard that the RCS of the CAC design was significantly smaller than that offered by SAC. Apparently Chendu Aircraft Company has...a "borrowed" :p version of Lockeed Martin's AAA suite.
....I was able to digg some info from this forum..:victory:
