TEHRAN (FNA)- A warship of the Saudi-led forces was destroyed after hitting a sea mine laid by the Yemeni army and popular forces in the coastal waters of Ta'iz province.
"The Saudi-led warship was destroyed in the city of al-Mukha in Ta'iz province in Southwestern Yemen," a Yemeni military source said.

The source noted that all crew members of the warship were killed in the explosion.

This is the 13th time that a Saudi warship is sent deep into the waters of Bab al-Mandab Strait by the Yemeni forces.

In a relevant development in late February, the Yemeni forces targeted and destroyed a Saudi warship in al-Hudayda coastal waters with a guided missile, the 12th Saudi vessel sinking offshore Yemen.

The Saudi warship was precisely targeted by the Yemeni missile in al-Hudayda province as the vessel was trying to get close to al-Khokheh coastal waters.

The sunken ship had repeatedly fired rockets at residential areas in Ta'iz province, inflicting casualties and destruction there.

Other Saudi battleships that were approaching Yemen's coasts retreated fast following the attack.

On January 24, the Yemeni forces targeted and destroyed a Saudi warship in the waters near Bab al-Mandab Strait.

On December 28, 2015, the Yemeni forces destroyed a Saudi-led coalition warship in al-Mukha coast.

On December 11, the Yemeni forces targeted and destroyed a Saudi warship in the waters near Bab al-Mandab Strait.

On December 5, the Yemeni forces targeted and destroyed a Saudi warship in the waters near Bab al-Mandab Strait.

On November 25, the Yemeni forces targeted and destroyed a Saudi warship in the waters near Bab al-Mandab Strait.

On November 15, Yemeni forces destroyed a Saudi-led coalition warship al-Mukha coast.

On November 7, Yemeni forces fired rockets at a Saudi-led coalition warship and destroyed it near al-Mukha coast.

On October 25, the Yemeni forces hit and destroyed another Saudi warship in Bab al-Mandab Strait

On October 11, another ship which belonged to the Egyptian army and named al-Mahrousa was destroyed by Yemeni missiles in the coastal waters near al-Mukha coast.

On October 9, Yemeni army and popular forces also fired missiles at a Saudi warship, and destroyed it in Bab al-Mandab Strait.

The warship was wrecked off the Southwestern coast of Yemen, in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, which connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden.

Is there further confirmation or just the single source is claiming all this. Remember, a specific source from opponent can also boost a non-credible news sometimes as a media warfare and we shouldn't be irresponsible in this regard.

No such thing has ever happened. The source used alone should disqualify this propaganda nonsense thread. I suggest closing it.

This is what occurred.

Bab el-Mandeb, which is 25 kilometers wide, is a very important waterway for global navigation. (Google Maps)

Two Yemeni coastguards were killed and 8 others were wounded when their vessel hit a naval mine on Friday near the international shipping passage of Bab al-Mandeb, in the south of the Red Sea, sources told Al Arabiya.

A Yemeni military source told Al Arabiya that the explosion of the naval mine occurred when the vessel was undertaking a surveillance tour in the region. The US had previously warned of the presence of Iranian-made naval mines planted by Houthi militants in the Red Sea near Bab al-Mandeb.

The sources confirmed that the wounded were dispatched to hospitals in Aden. The captain of the vessel Safwan al-Ozaybi was among those who were injured.

Earlier this week, the US office of naval intelligence had warned commercial ships from the danger of mine planted by Houthis and Saleh militias in Bab al-Mandeb strait near Mokha port. The US naval forces said it would deploy all possible efforts to protect the ships and vessels passing by the region.

The 25-km-wide Bab al-Mandeb strait is important for international navigation because it links Aden to the Red Sea, Suez Canal and the Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the crowded oil passageways in the Middle East and other regions.

Sixty commercial ships pass by Bab al-Mandeb on a daily basis carrying more than 3.3 million barrels of oil.

The rebels have launched many attacks on Bab al-Mandeb; last month, the militia attacked a Saudi frigate and a relief Emirati ship. In October 2016, they attacked US patrol vessels.

May the martyrs rest in peace.

Till now single source.

I wonder why?

And there was never "another". The first one was lightly damaged only. 2 sailors died (martyrs) as well.

Source is "" farce news"" tells how credible it is .If such incident really occurred then it would definitely covered by international media.

An al Houthi-Saleh naval mine destroyed a patrol boat from the Yemeni Coast Guard loyal to President Abdu Rabbu Mansour PERSONAbdu Rabbu Mansour HadiHe is the internationally recognized president of Yemen. Alt...Hadi on March 10, according to anti-al Houthi sources. The mine killed three sailors off the coast of Mokha district in Taiz governorate. The U.S. Office of Naval Intelligence warned on February 9 that al Houthi-Saleh naval mining threatens commercial ships traveling near Mokha port and the Bab al Mandab Strait.[3]

The title is somewhat funny "destroyed another ship" like if the first ship was destroyed Lol , it was minimal damage without any effect on the saudi frigate
