Testbed for the radar probably. We really need more KJ-2000 and KJ-200. Can we fit some of the airbus we get with the radar?

So much for the supposation that China doens't have a working AESA lol.

Y-8 avionics: In addition to radio communications and navigations systems, the aircraft features a Doppler navigation radar, an autopilot system and a radio compass.

The marker beacon receiver determines the position of the aircraft in a specified route. The Y-8 is also equipped with a rear warning receiver and an identification friend-or-foe transponder.

Can someone explain to me why they had to change the shape of the J-10B's nose for the AESA? It's tilted more down than the J-10A.
