CPEC, stable macroeconomic environment to spur private investment in Pakistan: WB

ISLAMABAD: The World Bank said successful completion of an IMF-supported program has helped achieve macroeconomic stability in the country.
According to the World Bank’s June 2017 Global Economic Prospects, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and a stable macroeconomic environment will give a spur to private investment in Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported on Tuesday.
It said favorable weather and increased cotton prices are supporting agriculture produce.
The report says Pakistan’s growth is expected to be 5.7 percent s during the current financial year.
