Why Russia's New Assault Units are 80 Years Old

They can't handle reality. Russian army is supposed to be this highly modern mechanized force but in reality they rely on WW I tactics.
The point of my original post was what works, works.

Doesn't matter WW1 or Post Colonial.

Fire and Maneuver tactic is from WW2 is still used.

Americans used lightning war tactics in Op Desert Storm.

Combined Arms breach, Yes .

I can go on and on.

Again there are no old and new tactics just bad tactics. Any out of the box idea that works is a tactic doesn't have to be like textbook.
