Unprecedented queues as Beijing subway introduces airport-style security (PHOTOS)

BeiJing is more crowded than Tokyo. It's a disaster to live in a international large city, cars even worse on the road. When morning rush hour taking subway, it's the hell.

About time UN brought in global population control. Otherwise this will happen in every major city in the world.

Do they have pushers?

This certainly wouldn't go over well in most countries.
No pusher in China subway stations, at least i didn't see them when i take ShenZhen and GuangZhou subway. The staff will tell u do not get on and wait for next one (usually 7 or 10 minutes), electronic gates will close soon.

Each time when i saw many ppl queue waiting for next train, i must say "F@CK" in my mind.
Most China subway system has the electronic gates before the train door open, close electronic gates first then close train door.

This is due to overpopulation.

I think Uyghur terrorists have more to do with it. These scums are ruining what makes high speed rail great compared to airlines. Now all the conservative governments in the world can use this as an example to avoid upgrading their rail systems.

Taiwan has pretty much a similar system in most stations, especially crowded ones such as Songjiang Nanjing.

That's a very safe system.
