UAE sounding rocket "Ambition 1"

No problemo!😊

Arab world must learn of Iran, problem all want to be doctors, there are almost no engineers and scientifical technological people. It s a grave problemo. A strong country must be capable to do important things with its native people = military weaponry.

I don t care about female engineers... this is not a f* question about female vs men, i don t buy that shit of left parties in west...

I say arabs must prepare to make weaponry like Iran does with its indigenous people, that s it. Being more independent, not that shit you say...

Iran has not much choice as it is sanctioned. Or else it makes no sense trying to invent the wheel when you can hire people who have invented the wheel and improve upon it. Apply that analogy to technological development. UAE is a western ally and its future is pretty much secure.

Depending on the foreigners in a very important thing like defence sector, it s extremely naive. On the other part, it s the proud part, they have to develop complex things like weaponry, an important country must be capable to do things with its own people.

You are seeing things very simplistic, it s not a question to rediscover the wheel, i am talking to be in the edge without dependency of foreigners that can santion you for anything. You indians are making some stuff for yourself, and you are saying this...

Indias goal is self dependence, but we are a poor country and we don't have the luxury to include foreign workforce in our defence industries. But from time to time, foreign consultants were used in India to speed up the R&D.

But UAE can afford to due to being rich, and these experienced foreigners will help propel the local industry a lot and inculcate their knowledge to the locals.

UAE is too late to the game if they want to develop defence sector by themselves. That is why in my opinion, their best bet is collaboration with foreign companies.
In the future maybe they can be self sufficient.

I don t agree with you, but i understand your position, you defend your interests and love your country. That s right.

UAE has 1.5 million natives with hundreds of billions of dollars. They bought Manchester City football club and also rocket and space program. Look at Dubai. Biggest mall, biggest park, biggest this, biggest that. It is for show.

Yes, i don t know it interest for football, it s useless for their country. They engage in things that are of not interest.... if they use money in strong things they would be awesome for them.

Arabs could have established a serious space program, like the European Space Agency, but they have too much rivalry and wars.

Well this is what they are doing.. They have been doing alot of indigenous stuff.. They have been doing alot of TOT for decades now. They have been developing own air defense systems and missiles etc etc..

Sometimes ppl don't wanna see but blind themselves

Foreigners doing the hard task, not merit.
It’s a mix of foreign and local. There are many local engineers though, I think it’s planned to have at least 400 within a short amount of time just in guided weapon development.

They give internships to locals and also sponsor master degrees at European universities for local junior engineers.

Senior foreign engineers give expertise to local junior engineers which jumpstarts industry.

From the CEO directly

Another priority for Al Mansoori is local recruitment. While the company has drawn on overseas talent from Brazil, South Africa and elsewhere, it has a scheme – Project 400 – to recruit and train 400 Emiratis as missile specialists. “Over the next 15 to 20 years, maybe as few as 10, we will be in a position where we can rely on UAE engineers in most areas of guided weapons,” he says.
