North Korea Just Displayed Enough ICBMs to Overwhelm America’s Defences

If only GHQ sepoys had an ounce of courage of North Koreans...

Sure, had they had it before the Russians invaded, they'd still be civilized. And we wouldn't have needed to manage a thousand groups, each with its own political ideology.

They don't need to. They can just import the technology from Bangladesh, much like the North Koreans did

They will never have the same courage.

Infact we are disrespecting North Korean generals by comparing them with the Pakistani sissy generals sitting in GHQ.

So, should Afghanistan develop nuclear weapons to counter Pakistan?
Counter what? Pakistan has never waged a war against Afghanistan.

That bold part alone is enough for any nation to seek out a nuclear arms program to protect their population—the indiscriminate firebombing of entire cities and starving people to death. The weaker nations need weapons to deliver an equivalent means of damage.

North Korea would also be within its legal right to exact revenge for the deaths suffered.

The intelligent thing is they were first to see Libya, Iraq and others what happened when they abandoned their nuclear programs; they are now dysfunctional societies with no hopes of recovery. There not as stupid to abandon these weapons as they know they will be next on the chopping block.
Yes, only that it was north Korea who initiated the invasion of South Korea first. In fact South Koreans are today very happy and grateful for the US saving them from the brutal dynastic regime of the Kims, since they just have to look at the border to see how their people would have ended up I.e poor, brainwashed,
isolated from the world and oppressed by the Kim family forever rule. Lol North Koreans have to hide and sneak out to flee to South Korea ideally and China(high chance they can be sent back though) to some extent to live a better life. Lol If you were a South Korean citizen today wouldnt you be thankful the US intervened ? And if you were a North Korean citizen wouldn't you curse the Soviets and Chinese for saving the crazy dynastic Kim regime and prolonging your peoples suffering? 😆 Be honest with yourself on this one. 😂

No where in the article does it say that NK is more powerful than US. Do you have reading comprehension? I don't blame you, you are getting quite old.

I don't like to talk in this manner/tone but if you are here only to troll you will get a straight answer.
Yes the article doesnt claim that directly, jut saying their newly developed untested ICBMs can overwhelm the US is actually funny. It gives the impression that North Korea can ovewhelm the US militarily. To be honest, if not for China and Russian apprehension., the US would need just a few months to deal with the North Korean regime. Lol
Anyway, the status quo actually benefits the US to be honest since it serves as a very good excuse for the US to maintain its massive military bases and setting up of ballstic missile defences in East Asian countries like South Korea, and Japan which basically are by China's doorsteps. And theres little China can do other than protest verbally, while the US can just claim its for dissuading North Korea. Lol and this also keeps the pressure on South Korea from keeping away from the US and Japan. Since North Korean constant threats makes it impossible for Seoul to even think of decoupling from the US or removing US military presence or acting against Japan the way they will like to (Koreans hate Japan to the core) . So a Win Win for the US/Japan as North Korea is a very useful boggeyman, abit like Mullah ruled Iran in the middle east. 😁😆

As a Brit you seem very keen to defend your daddy the US. Perhaps you should learn the difference between nuclear war and conventional war. Even experts agree with the fact that North Korea displayed enough ICBM's to overwhelm Americas GMD system, but a nobody in this field like you think its funny

Overwhelming US defenses isnt a joke, but NK has come really far with these developments, and the way i see it any future conflict wouldn't be one-sided as has been the case after world war 2 specially in the middle east. Iraqi military for example crumbled like a deck of cards in the first gulf war.

Who is behind the ballistic missile and ICBM program of North Korea and their nuclear program too? I know that most experts agree that this is the work of Russia and China but to what degree and which of Russia or China, is aiding North Korea more? I expect that to be China and from what I recall this is also the case.

On the other hand the Chinese gained their nuclear and missile tech from the Soviets. Or they stole it or whatever it was.

Does anyone here have some sources/material about this topic that one can read? It is quite fascinating to put it mildly.

Fair play to North Korea for going "all in" and not ending up like Gaddafi, Saddam etc.

According to the book: Chinese Secret Service: Kang Sheng & the Shadow Government in Red China by Falligot Roger, the relation betwwen China and the Soviet were severed after the death of Stalin in 1953, because Mao Zedong did not respect Khrutshchev since he denounced Stalin. As a consequence, no technogical assistance after 1953.

The missile and nuclear programs of China were carried out independently from the Soviets by Chinese scientists, most came back from the West, One was very famous. His name was Qián Xuésēn, who was also considered as one of the father of the US space program.

The leader of China's nuclear program was Qian Sanqiang, who was also one of the world's leading scientists on this field and graduated in Paris. During WWII, he and his wife were invited to work for Nazi Germany nuclear program, directly by Admiral Canaris but declined, also according to the book mentioned above.
