Check out Peter’s augmented reality concept developed for Google Glass: #ifihadglass competition! The glasses overlay real-time digital information on the user’s normal vision.

#ifihadglass I’d love to develop ‘NoorGlasses’ to enrich the daily educational experience of the 1 billion Muslims around the planet with live translation and interaction of important text, audio, location information, prayer times and direction. Education through meaningful experience is a great way to increase global harmony and unity.

Peter’s fascination with augmented reality (AR) begun in 2003 when he created a working prototype of AR glasses using off-the-shelf parts for hardware and software. His project earned him first class honours at the University of Technology’s Bachelor of Design program, along with airtime on ABC radio and UTS media in 2004/5. The original concept can still be found online here. In the years since Peter has grown his design studio and has consulted for many international brands including Etihad Airways.

Check out Peter’s Facebook for the latest updates & news!

The project is a collaboration with Bahjat from Uranium Pumpkin based in Los Gatos, California – Bahjat is the official applicant to the Google Glass #ifihadglass competition.

Peter embraced Islam in 2002 while studying Design at the University of Technology, Sydney.

Seriously, Shoving all that religion into technology is rather abusive of high tech. There are a number of things this concept can be materialized for betterment of humanity other than religion.

So what will be its cost in $? And when you can surely says it will be available for the public to buy?
