Announced at the 2014 SHOT Show, the LWRC IC PDW carbine represents the newest wave in smaller, lighter rifles.

Developed specifically for personal protection detail, the IC PDW carbine uses a 7.75-inch 5.56x45mm barrel mounted to a forged upper receiver. Combine the short barrel with its proprietary collapsible stock, and the IC PDW is an excellent choice for a concealable rifle.

It also offers fully ambidextrous lower receiver controls for left- and right- handed shooters.

The LWRC IC PDW carbine is available now for $2,500.

That isn't new it was out last year as well and was showcased in 2013 SHOT show.

Also honestly, I don't really see anything innovative in this weapon design, one LWRC has done what the other firearms manufacturers have done and that is mimic the Ar-15 archetype. Perhaps the materials it's made from are different in order to make the weapon lighter, but at $2,500 really not worth it for this particular carbine.

The barrel is also very short (could be a pro or con depending on your needs), though as the manufacturer said it's designed primarily for personal protection and probably home defense.
