Su-35S/BM has been offered to Greece recently at $50m weapons included.

what was the reply of Hellenic AF to this?.....I know they are under crisis but there must have been an evaluation by HAF.....any feedback

The HAF is thrilled with the plane and the prospect of buying about 40 of those planes for the money available for the next fighter.

There has been no "official" evaluation yet, the HAF doesn't want to angry the germans so the EF2000 will be evaluated first.. :(

But Typhoon too is a reliable and damn good fighter right up there with SU-35....so it should not be a bad deal as well

Right now the Typhoon has :

1 Radar, Not AESA (yet) and the price is without it
OLS system
AiM120s, main BVR weapon
Asraam, IrisT WVR weapons
Typical western air to ground weapons
Helmet queing system
low-ish RCS..
Net-centric operation.
Cost offered to Greece -----> $100m to $125m each depending on equipment like jammers, self protection etc.


Right now the Su-35S/BM has:

3 Radars, 2 (maybe all 3) AESA
1 OLS system
Helmet queing system
BVR weapons
R-27R, R-27ER, R-27ET,R-27EP (anti-radar features)
R-77 RW-AE, P-77M-PD( about 100+ miles range)
KS-172S-1 ( range 250miles)

R73E WVR

Active jammers and Counter measures included
Link16 (nato standard)
net-centric design (not to the EF2000 standards but there)
3D TVC engines
reduced rcs coating (not stealth, simply reduced over the stnd Su-30)
all that at -------------> $50m each
