Karachi University's Faculty of Science, Prof Dr. Shahana Urooj
Kazmi,Advisor to the Governor of Sindh, Aftab Lodhi. The Centre will be completed in a year's time at an estimated cost of Rs50 million. Prof Dr Shahana shed light on the significance of Nanotechnology. She was of the view that utilization of this technology can help boost the economic development of the country with rapid

Rahman, stressed upon the need for enhanced allocation for the
education sector in the country. He said that the progress in higher education is linked with the
development of any country. Prof Atta stated that the generous support of Aziz Latif Jamal,
which is Rs 50 million, for the setup of Latif Ebrahim Jamal (LEJ) Research Institute of Nanotechnology in International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), Karachi University, is a positive sign.

The nanotechnology institute is being constructed under the direct supervision of Aziz Latif Jamal, Chairman of Husein Ebrahim Jamal Foundation. Aftab Lodhi said that Governor of Sindh appreciated the monumental contributions of the HEJ Foundation for the promotion of health, education, and science and technology in Pakistan. Aziz Latif Jamal said that HEJ Foundation is serving the nation. The Foundation had played a key role in the establishment of the world famous Hussein Ebrahim Jamal Research Institute of Chemistry at the University of Karachi, which has earned tremendous recognition for Pakistan in the field of chemical and biochemical sciences, including Islamic Development Bank Prize for Best Science Institution in the OIC region.
 
couldn't they find a better acronym than LEJ?
