Afghans fly national flag in on Independence Day amid Taliban takeover

New Delhi: A hallmark of the atmosphere against the Taliban was seen in Kabul on the occasion of its Independence Day, anti-Taliban Afghans marched in the city with 200 meters tall flag. Not all seems to have been lost to the extremist Taliban in Afghanistan after a hostile political takeover last week. The anti-Taliban Afghans walked with the flag in hand while cars moved on the side.

19th August, Thursday marks Afghanistan's Independence Day, which commemorates the 1919 treaty that ended British rule in the central Asian nation. Fortunately, today we are celebrating the anniversary of independence from Britain," the Taliban said. "We at the same time as a result of our jihadi resistance forced another arrogant of power of the world, the United States, to fail and retreat from our holy territory of Afghanistan.

Earlier, Several video clips of people replacing the Taliban flag in Jalalabad with the Afghan tricolor have gone viral on Twitter. The Taliban can be later seen opening fire on the hapless, but determined, people, reportedly killing a few and injuring several others. Afghan locals can be seen triumphantly replacing the Taliban flag amid frenetic cheers.

On the other hand, the US has seized about $9.5 billion (about Rs 70,000 crore in Indian currency) assets belonging to the Afghan central bank as part of an attempt to block the Taliban-led government from accessing the funds. and halted the shipment of cash to the nation.

He's the second Indian to put this up.
You guys must have truly miserable lives that one random Afghan shouting "I hate Pakistan" gives you such joy.
Your obsession with Pakistan knows no bounds....
But then I with your cowardly retreat from Afghanistan with your assets having their tails rammed so far into their backsides, such small things are a comfort.

You must focus instead on not getting screwed in Balochistan and other bordering areas, we are doing just fine.

dont worry.

Taliban have promised to evict all non afgan groups, and now search the 17 abandoned indian consulates.

You should be worried if we find more proof of indian terrorism.

a few agreements we made with them

> There were will be no discussion on the Duraind line
> ISI has given them targets to go after
> join operation against TTP and ISIS is on the cards.

while you only built terror infrastructure.
- You have invested $3 billion dollar and Pakistan has invested $1 billion dollar. Compare the both economies and tell me who paid more to Afghan people despite that you continue to throw rhetorical nonsense at our face.

- You aren't even going to fund Panjishir resistance openly forget about any air strike or military action against Taliban

- Brothers are not left alone when trouble arrives, we have yet to hear a statement from India that you do not accept Taliban govt (Terrorists as per Indians) whatsoever and you would continue to fund resistance against Taliban.

Afghanistan: Taliban release new National Anthem|Taliban Released Anthem Pakistani anthem style

No mr. Porky you are wrong, it was actually the outgoing Afghan government. If the people of Afghanistan call for military intervention we will definitely send our forces to help them just like we helped east Pakistan.

No mr.pajeet it was not outgoing it was a govt which you pajeets been dealing with. But the moment they called you, you dotheads vanished like a fart in wind. Back stabbers

Seems you are more eager for the Taliban to rule Afghanistan than the Afghans themselves. Will you also then propagandize for the Taliban's cousin, the TTP, to rule Pakistan ?

Question isn't about eagerness its about reality.
