  • Kabul desires “better ties with Islamabad”, says Taliban spokesperson.
  • "It is also responsibility of Pakistan side to try to control situation."
  • Taliban govt vows Kabul will continue its efforts for regional peace.
The Afghanistan government desired better relations with all its neighbours, including Pakistan, and believed in all the resources and means that could help them meet the goal, Taliban chief spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid said on Tuesday.

His statement came a day after the National Security Committee (NSC), under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, asked the government in Kabul — without naming it — not to provide sanctuaries to Pakistani terrorist groups on its soil.

Pakistan has witnessed a sharp rise in terror incidents, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, during the past couple of months after the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) declared to end the ceasefire with Pakistan.

Earlier, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, in an interview with a Pakistani news channel, had said, "Islamabad may target the TTP in Afghanistan if Kabul does not take action to dismantle them".

Expressing his disappointment over the recent statements by the Pakistani authorities, the Taliban spokesperson said they are trying their best to ensure that Afghan soil is not used against Pakistan or any other country.

“It is also the responsibility of the Pakistan side to try to control the situation and avoid issuing baseless and provocative statements,” he said, adding that such statements and an atmosphere of mistrust are not in the interest of any party.

The Afghanistan government does not only give importance to peace and stability inside the country but in the entire region, the Taliban spokesperson said and vowed that his country would continue its efforts in this regard.

Pakistan won't let anyone ‘facilitate terrorists’

On Monday, the NSC decided that no country will be allowed to provide sanctuaries and facilitation to terrorists and Pakistan reserves all rights to safeguard its people.

The resolves come during the 40th meeting of the NSC held in Islamabad, according to an official statement issued by the Prime Minister's House on Monday.

The law and order situation in the country has worsened over the past few months. Terrorist groups, including the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), executed terror attacks across the country.

The forum also reiterated its resolve to have zero tolerance for terrorism in Pakistan and reaffirmed its determination to take on any and all entities that resort to violence.

“This [terrorism] will be dealt with the full force of the state. Pakistan’s security is uncompromisable and the full writ of the state will be maintained on every inch of the territory,” the committee decided as the nation of 220 million continue to deal with rising terrorism in the country.

The forum underscored that comprehensive ‘national security’ revolves around economic security and that sovereignty or dignity comes under stress without self-sufficiency and economic independence.

The committee was also apprised of the security situation of the country with a particular focus on recent terror incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Reaction over Sanaullah’s TTP statement

On Sunday, reacting to Rana Sanaullah’s statement about targeting TTP hideouts inside Afghanistan, the interim Taliban government said that it would not allow anyone to attack the Islamic Emirate and ask Pakistan to share its reservations with Kabul.

"When these problems arise, we first asked Afghanistan, our brotherly Islamic nation, to eliminate their hideouts and hand over those individuals to us, but if that doesn't happen then what you mentioned is possible," Sanaullah said.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had also hinted at direct action against militants if the Afghan government fails to rein in the TTP.

The spokesperson went on to say that Afghanistan wants to have good relations with Pakistan and that its officials should use caution when speaking.

"No country has the right to attack another nation's territory. There is no legislation in the world that permits such a transgression. If anyone has any worries, they should share them with the Islamic Emirate since it has sufficient forces and can take action,” Mujahid added.

Why are taliban taking Sanaullah seriously I mean he is not taken seriously even in Pakistan.
But on a serious note taliban have been playing on both sides of the wicket but then again so did PA. Like they say two can play the game i think Taliban have started doing the same. Tough times are ahead for us.

Pakistan will do whatever it has to do for its own interests. I don't care what that means for the other side.

Have entertained this Taliban rabble for too long. Give them a 2 week deadline to make TTP surrender or begin airstrikes on their bases. Give it full tv coverage, full humiliation and stamp your authority.

My advise to afghans is not to worry at all. All they need to do is to arrange some money from indian hindutva fascists in return for giving them full unfettered access to Pakistani border areas to wreak havoc in Pakistan, with total impunity, just like they used to do in the good old days, and give that bharti money to ghq, and to the prime bhikari sharif, and other traitors to Pakistan. Problem solved.
The Pakistani establishment, Afghan Neanderthals and Indian thugs should be satisfied with this arrangement.

I have been saying you cannot trust these fucking savages since day 1 when pdf users were celebrating the TTA takeover like their mothers second viya, I wonder where all the TTA cheerleaders are right now??? These savages understand only one language that is the language of force. Seal the border, **** any benefit we get from trading with them, deny them any international recognition and good will we render, starve them, hit them hard and bring them to the table. I am not saying this is going to be an easy road in terms of peace and security but it is the only way we have to stop these egomaniacal SOBs and their anti-Pakistan designs. Our policies being dictated by these yahoos is utterly shameful, I can’t believe we are being held hostage by these utterly delusional goons.

What fckn' upset! Ey 100% narcotic Taliban, keep on producing the "recreational stuffs" at an accelerated rate; the rest are all Fasa Fiso....

Take the TTP out even if they're sharing the beds with the Taliban....

Do you seriously believe our military has the capacity to do that? Where are you going to get the money to do so when you are on the verge of default? Wake up my friend and smell the coffee, the reason taliban have started to use a tone like this is that even they know we are in no fuckin position to do anything other than maybe a few artillery strikes here and there. War requires money, you have none.

This two headed surpent called Taliban needs to be crushed by any means.
They speak from their rear ends.
