54 former lawmakers’ degrees declared fake

ISLAMABAD: Higher Education Commission (HEC) has sent the list of 54 former lawmakers holding fake degrees to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Geo News reported Saturday.

Sources told Geo News that the list includes the names of Akhwndzada Chatan, Samina Khawar Hayat, Ghulam Dastagir Rajar, Waseem Afzal Gondal, Nasir Ali Shah, Mir Badshah Qaisrani, Semal Kamran and Shumaila Rana.

While the degrees of Israrullah Zehri and Omar Gorech were declared not genuine and the names of 189 former member parliament, failing to submit their Matric and F.A. certificates for verification, have also been sent to ECP, which included Syed Khurshid Shah, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Faisal Saleh Hayat, Afrasiab Khatak, Javed Hashmi and Samsam Bukhari.

Sources said that the names of Imtiaz Safdar Waraich and Qasim Zia are also included in the list of uncertified degree holders.

A good move! What about another 180 MPs who have not yet confirmed their degrees from HEC? They should be disqualified too!
 
This is the reason we need these street thugs to be out from politics and this is the reason we need IK to bring qualified people to such important positions.
