Operation Peochar: World’s Largest Heliborne Operation.

On this day on the 12th of May 2009, teams of SSG Special Operations Forces assailed the Den of TTP Terrorists in Peochar Valley of upper Swat, in Malakand Agency. This spearheaded the Operation Rah e Raast, that kick started the cleansing and sanitisation operations until the local communities were liberated from terrorist stronghold and normal life resumed.
