PAF J-10C News, Updates and Discussion

On night combat missions, the fighter aircraft do not switch on their regular high visibility position lights (on wing tips) and anti collision lights (the bright red strobe) to maintain stealthiness. However since they still need to maintain close formation during ingress/egress, the pilots...

All aerobatic teams adjust their formations and maneuvers from a single vantage point, typically termed Airshow center. Pakistan UAVs News & Discussions

Are GDPs being trained to operate these or are the operators being treated at par with GDPs? In first glance their wings appear to be the same as GDPs whereas Turkish training officers’ wings appear to be distinct as to mark them as drone operators. I think W/C Amir Maqsood maybe earlier than him. He shot down Mig-21 from a F-86. Then went on to CAE to graduate at the top of his majors. Don’t know why retired early.

Lessons Learnt from Operation Swift Retort - AIR CDRE KAISER TUFAIL (R)

Must be. The numbers quoted amount to about 120 hrs per year per pilot. That’s 6-7 sorties probably per month, minimum to maintain currency. Simulator hours helps to maintain proficiency in a cost effective manner. Obviously it is an average over the entire force, some senior pilots may only be...
