Does anyone ever win such cases in Pakistan? Just about every defamation case I hear of from Pakistan seems to run into the billions but I've never actually heard of anyone ever winning such amounts.

What makes you think he got the passport to travel to Pak? He probably got it just to travel outside the UK - may be Saudi, UAE, USA, or even Kenya. Considering that his visa extension was refused some time back, may be he just needs to go to a country more welcoming to him and less welcoming...

Just cannot happen now. He is possibly the most unpopular COAS of recent times and the army's reputation is the worst I've seen in my life. He will retire, and almost immediately be flown away to some position in Middle East. He will not even stick around in Pakistan.

Two words - GOOD RIDDANCE! And hopefully this will be the last time a COAS is ever given an extension again.

Pakistan has been under Army control for as far back as I can remember. Whether it was PPP, N, Q, or PTI in power - it was always the army making all major / important decisions. It's seriously time the civilians rule Pakistan for a change.

You want Pak to keep it's nukes and keep billions of $$ of military equipment safe? Or because of a few idiots at the top - are you willing to risk it all?

Can't blame IK for that. Most of us on this forum thought it was a good move, and I doubt IK did that without the Foreign Office or establishment agreeing to the visit.
