Wsalam,

I trade for a living. I don't day trade. Sometimes my trades can last for a day, a week, a couple of weeks. I tape read the market which should tell me when to exit a position. It's very difficult requires great dedication in terms of study and there are so many scammers in this industry.

I have never paid for a course, there is enough knowledge out there for you to come up with a good strategy. Many people fail in this business in my humble opinion because they try to mechanize there system. Things don't work like that in the real world. If such an indicator existed everyone would be a millionaire. Don't follow what the crowd is doing. Instead, learn how institutions trade the markets.

I mostly trade the Oil, Gold, Indexes and occasionally currency markets.

Nice. I use trade index options and the VIX, but for some time approx a year I stopped due to the Chinese trade war because I was acting on implies rather than logic. Lost 16K and decided to sit out , I have an insurance agent and trading was a side hobby. I might get back in but Oil and Gold is something I might look into.

It's nice to know another Pakistan who dabbles in trading. Don't worry, In'sha'allah you will be able to regain your losses. I want to give you some advice because I want to see all Pakistani's successful. Please take the time to read Wyckoff's original book.

He published a book in 1931 and its an eye-opener. Its difficult to read the book but it will come in handy.

He explains the relationship between volume and price which gives us a footprint in the market. There are 3 key laws mentioned in his book. They explain how the market functions instead of the BS peddled in the media.

No problem, I don't understand why Pakistani's don't help each other. We need to work as a community so we can strengthen Pakistan. Don't order the book, I will give you a website where you can download the book for free.

Oh perfect thanks!

That mindset I blame on our elder population. The younger western educated like ourselves don’t do that or very very rarely.

"How I trade and invest in stocks and bonds : being some methods" This book was written by Wyckoff. He talks about his principle but doesn't explain it in detail. Don't skip this book since it explains how big institutions behave.

Are their particular institutions to follow? I’m sure their a few key ones that move the market.

The PDF drive is a wonderful website it can provide any book in most cases. "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator" was written by Jesse Livermore the George Soros of the 1920s. This book was one of the first recommended readings of the STA which is based in the UK.

I was born in the UK. My background is economics/politics. I have worked briefly in China in a State-Owned Bank called Agricultural Bank of China. I was working in there leasing department mostly to do with aviation. I found it boring and decided to switch to the markets.
