I feckin' hate lefties and Islamist types. and we have a lot of them in Turkey. So, I tend to stick with like minded people mostly IRL.

I mean I hope your country gets less polarized we dont need another decent Muslim country get dragged over petty lifestyle and political debates

I am guessing the lefty types refers to HDP and CHP and the Islamists the AKP under Erdogan but I see the AKP is spilt in two camps

HDP are Kurds, not even genuine CHP like them. The AKP are in power and have a Arab fetish. The CHP have a obsession with Europe/West. HDP with Kurds.. the Nationalists are fed-up

Yeah, that would be right. I still have a lot of MHP friends though. Some of my closest friends are AKP too. but that is IRL, on the net, i just do not like some of them, they come off very trollish. hard to put into words.

I can only speak for UK, and the Turks here couldn't give a crap for RTE. I noticed a lot of these Turks are from Germany or Holland though.

So you Cypriot Turk in London they are mostly from Aegean or Cyprus

My honest opinion is this. A lot of Erdogan supporters are of Kurdish and Arab descent. They have a hatred for all things Ataturk mostly.

In fact IRL one of my AKP friends is of Albanian descent. And she hates all thins nationalist. She even said she used to be CHP too when she was younger.

Aegean also Izmir/Aydin. I remember a few years back when ISIS attacked Turkey, a lot of AKP trolls was sad because it wasn''t Izmir lol

Something needs to be done with the Syrians I support Assad yes he may have some grudges with Turkey but 2.5 million Syrians is a demographic time bomb

2014-2016 was s..t time for the Turks in general the coup on 2016 tho fake kinda helped heal the polarization and I think you saw shift in Turkish geo politics more to at least some pragmatist stances

We have way too many Syrians. I get they didn't choose to be in Turkey.But, they're a burden to us now. We're not some oil rich country like some in our region. And we have a lot of poor ourselves to manage.

Erdogan took them in not for "humanitarian" reasons bit to get a new voter base in class Turks got fed up with him
