How did you become Muslim and do you have moorish roots?!

I am not sure how to answer that. I was 19 when I first bought a copy of the Quran. That was when I really started to learn about Islam.

I was I believe 18 when I first became interested. I remember I saw a picture online and it showed a Muslim man and woman and non Muslim man and woman

it showed the Western, non Muslim couple as saying this world is so beautiful, we wish we could be together in this world forever

then it showed the Muslim couple as saying this world is so fleeting, so transitory, we wish we could be in Jannah forever

this was very fascinating to me..... I was very impressed by how it suggested going beyond just the materialism of this world

which is in fact a key element of Islam, I believe- going beyond only being focused on Dunya
