Pakistan Defence

We have to make our selves better, so that people are compelled to have relations with us.

A lot of people consider Pak-US relation as transactional. It's sad, but I think we should make the best out of this transactional relation.

US is strategic partner of India.

USA is strategic partner of nobody. So far in the history, Germany has been the best at keeping her relationships with USA. All other countries are just come and go. If we are best, if we in a position to give something to somebody, then its better, than the situations, where we are just takers.

Currently military is are only major field of expertise.

I acknowledge my ignorance in history of US relations. Not being argumentative but we do GIVE them path to a land locked country surrounded by anti-US countries. Central Asia is underbelly of Russia.

And if they want Pakistan's cooperation in a settlement of their liking in Afg. Pakistan should ask for resolution of Kashmir in return.

Off course Pakistani diplomats aren't overt in saying this to US. They use neutral language like Mushahid Hussain "The road to peace in Kabul goes through Kashmir".
