seriously,the term muhajir has become a mess b/c of AH.

The solution in this stage would be to reclaim our original identity which is Lucknowi, Pashtun, Gujrati, Madrasi-that is our real ethnic group.

Unfortunately we created another identity. Nothing really links me, a Lucknowi to a Madrasi who wears lungi and I wear kurta.

I for example am a Lucknowi or if weak claims are to be counted a pashtun (those pashtuns who migrated from Indian occupied parts did not know pashto and came to karachi thus becoming generally muhajirs)

Our failure to treat our relatives in lucknow as Pakistanis resulted in them becoming Indianized. In 1948 though 90%+ of the UP muslim vote went to AIML (Quaid E Azams party) which vouched for independent Pakistan. So basically we were one.

Where did the diversion occur? It occurred as we began to ask for extra rights (voting for a pro Indian MQM) in Pakistan and treating our relatives in Lucknow as outsiders.

Muslims left there can be an asset to Pakistan. We have to get rid of our ethnic thinking and work for a better Pakistan.

But we are locked like all other ethnic groups in seeking a stronger, better status for ourselves even though we are the richest. This is what I oppose and what I vouch for is the unity of Muslims as Lucknowi and Pakistani are one.

meray bhai,I believe that this ethnic crap must be eliminated in the first place.We all are just Pakistanis and muslims.When a bomb blasts,the foreign news channel does not claim that xx sindhi died or muhajirs.All you can see is just:Blast in karachi,34 died!

Heck,even death does not distinguishes,we all decompose after death except the prophets.
