Who needs Jurassic Park when this is happening?

This giant alligator spotted on a nature reserve in Florida is getting a lot of attention today thanks to the fact that it's making everyone on the internet fear for their lives.

The alligator was spotted in Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland, Florida, and even local police are sharing the video of the gator, which is either a warning or a reminder of how mad nature is.

Lots of people are crying fake for many reasons but most are probably just too damn terrified to admit that nature is fighting back against us and bringing back dinosaurs in the process.

That is one massive alligator. I had no idea that they could get so big.

That gator has massive neck fat and doesn't look as big as gustav

This one is only about 12 feet long. They get up to 15 feet. Nowhere near a dinosaur.

When I was stationed at MacDill in Tampa, I went airboating in the Everglades several times. I met people with plenty of anecdotes on how large these beasts could get. Sure, undoubtedly there were exaggerations, but repeatedly, Floridians over the yrs captured 'gators that were larger and larger as we encounters more of them in the swamps. Another thing that people do not understand is how fast 'gators can move.

Are they all over the state, or are they restricted to a few areas?

The 'gators are not restricted in the sense that there are some kind of physical barriers but that of preferred environment -- wetlands.

South Florida is prime alligator country. Almost all the lakes, swamps and canals should be considered alligator habitat,...
Pretty much south of the tri-city areas (Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg) are considered South Florida and any body of water, even a pond, can be potential 'gator habitat. Search for 'florida golf course alligator' and see plenty of games interrupted by a strolling 'gator.

Wow. I always thought of them being limited to the wetlands. I guess Florida wildlife scares me a little bit.

All we have out here are a few bears, coyotes, and mountain lions. But they're usually harmless.

Florida Gators are relatively harmless compared to a Croc. It isn't unusual for someone to take a half-awake morning dip in their pool and come eye to eye with a gator. It usually isn't a giant. Of course it will scare the crap out of you but I can't remember anybody being hurt by a gator in their pool. They just sit there and ignore you. Of course if you are a tiny kid that may not be a good idea.

I kind of look at alligators like raccoons. You don't mess with them and they won't mess with you. However if you grab one by the tail...you are going to be in a world of hurt by a pissed off raccoon. He may come after you with a vengeance.
