Iran welcomes improved ties with Pakistan

There is a strong pro Israel and by that virtue Pro Indian lobby in Iran and they won't let this happen.
Their religious leaders from the so called spiritual Hub Qum visit synagogue in Tehran but won't let Sunni mosques to be built and by that virtue Pakistan being a majority Sunni county can't be the apple of their eyes. Thorn instead.

Sectarian shit ... Pif pif pif

Visa wasn't fake..but again..intelligence games are highly complex..and it is possible that the Indians double crossed the Iranians..

This is made up propoganda...often repeated on Arab funded persian channels..brodcasted from Dubai..with that Famous iranian-baloch sheikh who is a big blatant liar...

It was a valid visa on a fake ID..

Actually there are Sunni mosques in Iran .. The Iranians are pretty anti Israel too.. But india is a big trading partner of Iran much like it is to KSA or UAE..

It's all about economics in the end whether you like it or not.

Nobody has issues with Iran's trade with India. Iran just needs to ensure that its trading partner doesn't use its territory against Pakistan.

Guys...relax...Iran is basically taking the advantage of Indian jealousy against Pakistan...it is getting its port freely developed by india...to push the completion of the work, it is agreeing to only those Indian demands which does not damage Pakistan much...Iran is expecting Pakistan to understand its situation...to cover up the damage it will greatly increase its economic relations with Pakistan....once their port gets completed...

We should remember that Iran was the first country to recognize us...as well it supported Pakistan fully with weapons and diplomatic relations with other countries during 1965 war with India...

This is the same stupid attitude we have seen for past few decades that have hurt us so bad and it is so painful see that the trend continues. Our public is not learning this one lesson, not even the hard way and we cannot hope the leaders to be any different. Why on earth there are comparisons between Saudi Arab and Iran in previous posts here? Why we need to chose between UAE or Iran to be friends with? Why cant we have good progressive ties with all these nations? Learn some lesson from your neighbors, they have excellent ties with Iran Israel and UAE, all three do not tolerate the existence of other on paper. If they can be friends with a Christian US, a Jewish Israel and a Muslims Iran/UAE/Saudi Arab, it is a shame that talks here are about choosing between Shia Muslim Iran or Sunni Muslim Saudi Arab/UAE or whatever!!!

There is a thing called diplomacy and it is unfortunately that with an attitude like this as shown on the thread i am not sure if we are right to blame our government. You people simply do not get the idea of diplomacy and living in a global village. WE DO NOT NEED TO CHOSE BETWEEN SAUDI ARABIA AND IRAN. We can and must have excellent relations with both, period.

The governments are responsible to build such moderate and progressive relations but it will be the society in general that will set the tone and such extremist behavior is what is causing us so much harm. Please open up your mind and think beyond the sectarian divides, even religions divides when it comes to national interests!

@WAJsal @waz @fatman17 @Joe Shearer
any thing you would like to add to make our members realize where they were wrong in these posts?
Can you help @araz sir?

This is a very good step. Bottom line is that we need energy and we need to start utilising our region aka Asia. This pipeline will help us a lot.

The fact of the matter is that when emotions run foreign policy you get the mess of Pakistan that its currently in. We never identified who are our worst enemies and who can be allies. Foreign policy are interest based and that is exactly how we should run our foreign policy.

We need to have relations with all the nations and have ties and trade with them. That includes all three super powers, Iran, middle east, european nations and African nations. Its time we truly focus on Pakistan and its interests. Believe it or not we can have relations with both Arab countries and Iran. We don't need to pick sides, we only need to pick trade and deals. Maybe then our country can actually witness some form of improvement and development. Its time we use Pakistan first theory and move forward in having diplomatic relations with every nation.

go to their military forums you will find their hatred towards pakistani sunnis. they want shia pakistan in next 100 years.

Good luck with telling this to Pakistan's blind Saudi followers.

On a personal note, I have never gotten along with Saudis/Arabs, they have are always in their own groups, are usually racists and have no similarities in culture. Whereas our culture has borrowed a lot of Persia, we can find many things in common also generally speaking Iranians are less sectarian then Arabs. I have never been asked my religion/sect from an Iranian, its always Sunni Arabs that want to know if you are a Shia or not.

I am glad pakistan and iran have improved ties-Pakistan should always be on good terms with iran we share a border with them and their resources are beneficial for pakistan. They were the first country to recognize pakistan, they also have huge afghan population that they have kept under control and rarely experience terror, crime, sectarian problems or violence that pakistan sees nearly every day-we could learn from them.
Iranians are liberal and educated with rich history and cultural ties to the sub-continent.We need to be a much more positive for pakistan than useless saudis and gulf arabs. This notion of them being a threat and exporting the iranian revolution is propaganda spread by arabs and also israel .

I am basically from Saudi Arabia...unfortunately what u said is true to much extent....but not all of them are like that...they believe in unity of Muslims....in KSA it is becoming a common trend that in Islam there are no sects. , a muslim is first muslim and last muslim....not first muslim then Shia/Sunni,etc

Sunni Mosques are there in areas where Sunnis are in Majority esp like in Sistan Balochistan. Just like Majority (ofcourse not all) Imam Bargah in Pakistan are built in areas having Shia population in majority, so is case in Iran.

Dude, Our nations founder, Quaid-e-Azam was Shia. Muslims should be united. Shia means follower of Hazrat Ali Ibne Abi Talib (AS) who was a staunch follower of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Sunni means one who follows the Sunnah of the Prophet, Why is there a divide? If sunnis follow the Sunnah of the prophet, didn't Hazrat Ali (AS) follow the Sunnah either. Basically the divides are created in our mind and unfortunately they are created by us. We are Muslims we belive in the same GOD and the same holy figures!

I understand brother, I don't disagree with you, But there are always two sides to a coin right? I mean there are some elements in Shia's who definitely hate Sunni's and there are some elements in Sunni's who hate Shia's. It goes both ways, sadly its ignorance which leads to this. If somebody does not like Wahhabi which is his personal opinion he automatically thinks all Wahhabi's are Sunni's and if somebody does not like Nusayris he thinks all Shia's are Nusayri's and thats where you lose the moral right because you are doing exactly what you condemn. We have a hypocritical society in which most people say that "Oh I am only Muslim neither Shia or Sunni" but then they hate on Shia's and Sunni's who also are muslims just follow different schools of thought. Then we have some people who justify Yazeed's actions because he was Muslim and Hazrat Hussain should not have rebelled against the ruler of his time. By that logic Hazrat Ali was ruler of his time and Ameer Muawiyah should not have rebelled and waged war against him right? The truth of the matter is we have "Darbari Molvis" not Ulemas which used to be an honor bestowed amongst the few but now is misused. My friend, we should all preach unity, otherwise there will be no difference between us and the hate mongers.
