The export of Beef (meat of cow,oxen & calf) are prohibited in India.Beef is not permitted to be exported. Bone in meat,caracas of buffalo(both male&female) is also prohibited.Only boneless meat of buffalo, male& female(NOT beef) & meat of goat & sheep is permitted to be exported, subject to provisions specified in Gazette Notifications on raw meat.Further Prohibition of slaughter of cows and calves and other milch and draught cattle is a Directive Principle of State Policy contained in Article 48 of the Constitution Of the Republic of India.
