Not repelled, attack still ongoing. Regime barrel bombing even regime-held areas, has killed lots of its own troops (rebel advance has caused panic.) Its slowed down yes, but it will be like that for a while, as regime is entrenched.

Don't even bother. Aleppo is no Idlib. Insurgents can never take a Baath stronghold like Aleppo. Heard insurgents shelled western Aleppo. Hope your family is safe and sound.

Aleppo is not a ba'ath stronghold. Hafez had multiple assassination attempts occur against him in Aleppo. Both he and Bashar hate Aleppo. Yes Aleppo is entrenched, but it will take time and eventually it will be free.
Rebels shell army positions, any shells that land elsewhere are misfires, bad aim, or the poor state of the artillery (old/not well maintained.)
