Abhimanyu's son survived
and Aswathama was cursed for an immortal existence

there is an important character in kaurava's apart from duryodhana and dushasana.. he is Vikarna , 3rd among 100 kauravaas..

He is the only righteous person among kauravas, he is the only one who questioned the objectives of treacherous dice game and was against the humilation of draupadi..he was the best archer among kauravas.. he knew that kauravas would never win mahabaratha and yet chose to stay with his brother and didn't forsake him...

Wasn't it the great seer Sanjaya narrated what he saw to Dhritarashtra, then the sage Vyasa compiled this?

Thank you, I will seriously look into Vikarna. Also, among the elders there is the one low caste born. He speaks the truth but no one seems to listen to him. In fact, if they listened to his advice Kurukshetra wouldn't have happened. What is his name again?

He allowed his pledge to become bigger than his duty

He was blinded by his pledge to support the sitting emperor
rather than do what is right

In fact he and Dronacharya are responsible for being silent and allowing the wrong doings

Just as we criticise PM MMS for being silent and allowing all wrongdoings

vyasa was called to impregnate his wives which he did... but then made the children vichitravirya's using his yogic power.
I like vyasa's sense of humour.

Eklavya, Karna, Bhishma and Drona were all superior to Arjun, yet Arjun gets all the glory.
