Dear Pakistan,
We weep with you.

We weep for the parents in Peshawar and the children who won't play today.

Pakistan, you need to save your children. You need to act. Today.

132 children have been killed in the horrific attack by the Taliban in Peshwar.

132 children, killed in the most barbaric and senseless manner thinkable. 132 young souls who represent the future of your country.

This is a terrible moment in history. Not just in Pakistan’s history, but in the history of humanity.

Nothing like this should ever be allowed to happen again. Not in Pakistan, not anywhere in the world.

The time has come for the Taliban to be destroyed once and for all – and Pakistan has to play the lead role in this battle, with help from any quarter that offers help.

Including India.

It is 67 years since our nations came into existence. For 67 years we have battled over Kashmir. We have fought full-fledged wars in 1947, 1965, 1971 and a smaller war, in Kargil, in 1999. The Kashmir issue is obviously not something that will disappear in a hurry.

In addition India has suffered the horrific terrorist attack by the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba in Mumbai on 26 November 2008. This issue is still outstanding as we wait for the perpetrators, who are in Pakistan, to be brought to justice. In addition, we have fought over the Siachen Glacier and over Sir Creek. These are outstanding issues as well.

Yet India needs to come to your help now – and Pakistan needs to accept that help – so that the scourge that killed 132 of your children yesterday is rendered powerless and impotent.

What happened in Peshawar yesterday was an extraordinary incident – and calls for an extraordinary response.

For you to be able to focus on the Taliban, you need to stop worrying about the eastern sector – the border with India. You have an army of around 600,000 men – and the time has come to deploy all of them against the Taliban. All of them.

We are your sworn enemies for 67 years but we know when to cease hostilities and let the enemy carry their wounded; we will not strike you when you are down.

So we pledge to you that the border, the LOC will be untouched. Take your army, take your air force, take each and every armed and unarmed man you have to your northern border and wipe out the people who did this.

This should never happen again. Not to you, not to us. Not to any parent anywhere in the world.

Finish your job and we will stand by you. We can settle our differences later.

Because it could have been our children too.

Thank you for your sympathy.

But your assurance regarding Indian army wont do anything bad if Pakistan leave its border with Indian unmanned well that is just an emotional claim by an ordinary Indian but the reality is that Indian army does not rather no army work on basis of emotions

You probably will have to see this as an ordinary man trying to tell how, he feel about this incident, and how as an ordinary citizen want to stand with Pakistan on a tragedy like this...... There are several terrorist attacks happened in Pakistan, and in India most of them were considered with an attitude like " What you sow what you reap"... But in this case every Indian i interacted, or spoken has deep sorrow and shock towards the Pakistan, There were very few who maintained the old attitude..... I havent seen it before......

I saw Indian member comment on Peshawar attack they said it is good and let them fell the pain so stop these fake tears and we are felling the pain.

Yes indeed it can be seen from simple wordings of the letter. common man on both sides feel the pain.

U know its rather funny that these people r today saying the same that we used to say to them after Mumbai Attack that we need to fight terrorism together and india has its own home grown terrorist problem those Indian Mujahedeen its not just pakistani sending people to india. Now with their people joining ISIS and even returning from there safe and sound like that guy Al Hind and on top of that our successful ops in Kashmir on dec 5 in which 4 attacks in just 11 hrs were carried out and a attack in Uri sector had 3-4:11 kill ratio now these people have been overwhelmed and started this Peshawar attack in here by using their strategic assists TTP. The most ridiculous thing here is that now they are showing us their crocodile tears. Awful behavior.

Please do update yourself instead of getting spoon feeding yourself through sensational media's pathetic views....Reality is that Talibans, irrespective of good and bad one's are on the run...they were kicked the hell outa Swat Valley, they were flamed in the South Waziristan, they were beaten the hell outa Bajaur and Orakzai agencies....before these ops, they were able to penetrate into the highly secure environments and damaging our assets, but during the last one year they have lost their power centers and areas against our army and Airforce....and after failing to digest these huge set backs they have lost their nerves and picked up soft targets like schools....Despite all the heavy prices we are paying we know we will beat the hell outa them, so please keep your skepticism to yourself and wait for positive developments which i am sure are right at the corner....!!

Do not jump in to a discussion without knowing the context...... Just look at the post i quoted will give you an idea what i was talking about...... and that was not a general statement....

Nice letter. Many thanks to the parent and the well wishing Indian folk.

I have talked to many Indians on this issue and everyone that I have talked to feels sad for what happened like it happened not in Pakistan but in India. I guess everyone feels heart broken when the victims are children which is why this is one of the worst terrorist attacks in history if not the worst.

A Little emotional & tried to show that we are responsible for terrorism, well a half truth without facts.
You tried to show you are human but you can't hide your indian image in this letter.
So thanks for sympathy & our ISI is best & Army knows how to defend borders, Surely every responsible for Pehawar attack have to pay for this terrorism whether its our neighbor or terrorist.
