I don't know about Tesla specific charging stations, but in Vancouver I saw tons of charging stations in front of every grocery store and in every mall parking. The city council in Vancouver now requires all new residential and commercial buildings to incorporate a charging station/plug for electric cars, whether or not you own an electric car. In Vancouver I also saw quite a few Tesla cars. They're superb.
Still expensive, but the price will come down obviously. Elon Musk wants electric cars to replace the garbage we have now and he's the man to do it.
