Before 2007 energy demand was meet with very very cheap hydro power. Because of GDP growth of 7-8% between 2004-2007 energy demand exploded including gas. Now the only way to generate electricity is with expensive oil. Energy theft is going on since 47.

No actual is 1113bn which is over $11 billion. Army just don't include pensions, etc in "defence budget" like India does. So actual spending is over $11 billion.

Well if Pakistan gets attacked then everyone in it gets hurt, so its only logical PA should have people from every section of society.

I was reading in economy section that actual defence budget for this year is 1113bn which is 26% of total budget. And 3.8% of GDP!

Biggest blunder of Musharaf was indeed ignoring energy infrastructure to support GDP growth after sanctions were lifted soon after 9/11. And PPP also didn't do anything to correct this. Think like this, N have initiated many huge projects that will start generating electricity in 3-4 years. So...
