US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter may visit India in May to sign $2.5 bn deal

Ok, so we've established that these Copters will not be used for armored forces cover. Future wars will be fought by drones. Before even 1 soldier sets foot in Pak we need to send a 1000 drones with ata and atg capabilities to soften up their defenses. And then have a further 1000 as back up...

US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter may visit India in May to sign $2.5 bn deal

Tanks are no longer the best weapons to take out other tanks any more. A UAV with missiles cost $5 mil and can provide better cover with no risk of life. A tank division with 10-15 armed UAVs would cost the same as 1 helicopter. Combat Helicopters are only useful nowadays for insurgencies and...

Agree, no benefit here. Not sure why the Indian Army is planning for tank wars in this day and age. Besides in a tank war we would need 200 and not 20 copters. Money would have been better used for more Chinooks.

Indian Army can take out 26/11 Conspirators in Pakistan : VK Singh

You obviously have been asleep. Have you seen the current state of your country? & you think the current govt. is going to let up? As a failed people your arrogance is astounding.

China offers Bangladesh soft loans of $15-20b

You think BD is for sale for a $15-20 bn Loan ??? China would need to provide this level of "grants" on an annual basis to get BD to even consider joining a camp.

China offers Bangladesh soft loans of $15-20b

That's how any loan works.. Borrower just has to make sure they are generating enough return to pay the lender. The only difference here is that vs the World Bank (which lends at concessional rates of 2% and has no sourcing restriction) this is a bit more expensive. However not unusually so.

China offers Bangladesh soft loans of $15-20b

No free lunch my friend. Contractors margins are 30% of construction costs so that adds a further 2% p.a. to the interest rate. So interest rate is closer to 5%. Still not a bad deal if Bangladesh can generate revenues (toll) for the projects.

China worried over India's reservations to Silk Road projects

Indian media is totally editorialized and quite useless. Not sure they actually ever report news. We can choose to disagree on motives but there is never a free lunch. We went down a very slippery path when you armed Pak with Nukes. That probably sums up the long term intent or lack of...

China worried over India's reservations to Silk Road projects

Do you read Indian media ? Moving on...you are not exactly selling this very well. - projects for China - loans from China - creating markets for China - move low level mfg Anything in this for the others? China needs to refocus its attention away from India and to let all live happily...

China worried over India's reservations to Silk Road projects

China needs a safe passage and non obstruction agreement for its ships. The rest is all cover and pretty much irrelevant. They don't care about integration etc. Frankly it is very unlikely the SE Asian countries will sign on given the SCS problems. So that only leaves the all weather buddies...

China worried over India's reservations to Silk Road projects

I guess the road version does not involve India. Kind of lost on what the Maritime Silk Route implies?? So a ship is going to stop in India on route to China? Why? They don't now and if they need to offload containers on route they can do so anyways. China needs a safe passage provision...

Pakistan was offered $10 billion financial aid from Saudi Arabia - Tehran Times

Got to love your way of thinking !! You want to take money from both sides? If you can pull it off, great.

Dude, as we speak your team is in SA (presumably negotiating). Why such authority? I think it's more likely than not that you will join, worth it or not.
