Are you in favor of IRGC's involvement in non-military fields ? ( Iranian members only )

This is not a simple question to answer with a few lines and I don't like writing an essay here. It is also hard to prove that the core idea of a military organization involved in the economy is a terrible idea. First off, none of us have any proof, aside from articles, blogs etc. So I'm only arguing the idea of mixing military with politics, banking, telecom etc. The backers are saying that it's better than foreign companies. This sounds good to any patriotic Iranian. However, when can a private company ever take these jobs over if never given the chance to compete? As one of you stated earlier when would the IRGC give up that right? The answer my friends is never! Another point, the U.S, Eng Corp do things in the U.S. for free....no charge, it comes out fo the federal budget so they don't bid on public projects.
The IRGC will never stand aside by themselves. So what is wrong with that? Well, you have an organization that controls about 60% of the country's economy, how many of you can name a healthy Democratic country that is similar? This is a "Military Junta" like apparatus. A military Junta will kill, assassinate, intimidate and jail anyone who will threaten that pot of gold. This is true in any country run by a mafia-like hierarchy. Only a political amateur thinks this is a normal and good thing.
There was a news article about a foreign company that won a contract to manage IKA airport, a few weeks later the threats began in the IRGC owned papers. Then an IRGC raid ensued, and they shut down the airport and disrupted air travel. The Director of the airport was intimidated enough to break the contract and award it to the IRGC under the guise that they had not been able to meet obligations. This idea of a military controlling the bulk of the economy has led to massive corruption...the money will be used to buy votes, newspapers, and candidates. Eventually, you will find yourselves living in N. Korea-like state.

We can try and prevent this from happening, by having laws against so-called foundations. If you setup or run a charitable foundation then you must be required to file papers that will make all the financial activity transparent. This will go a long way to curtail corruption.

There are basically two streams in Irans economy.

The first one was formed after the war. Diplomats, clerics and people around the post-war president Rafsanjani, who created a Jelzin like environment.
This first post-revolution elite will tell you that the IRGC owns 60% of Irans economy.
The IRGC will tell you that they, just like Jelzins oligarchs own 80% of the economy.

Some oligarch pushed for the privatization of the biggest airport in the country and the IRGC deemed it unacceptable that armed foreign security companies operate such a vital asset.
The one side will say that those foreign security companies would have provided the airport with better service to world standards. For patriots it sounds perfectly fine that no non-Iranian armed group is allowed legally in Iran.

Then again the question about how private companies to catch up with Khatam ol Anbiya? You have to got a very good strategy if you want to compete with a company that basically got all their equipment and other assets founded by the state (-->"for free"). It's more or less impossible to win that game.
The only thing that can help you in this game as private company is that Khatam ol Anbyia is forced by the state to develop in a high-tech/huge-scale direction so that it's not a competitor anymore. Another way is that they get low profit/low-tech jobs like building irrigation canals in rural areas.
If these concepts are done and controlled correctly, we will have no problem.

I'm not sure about the economic part, but i'm sure that these guys shouldn't have any political power.

so , what !?

some people always shed blood for countries but power be in hand of people who will sell country for their own personal interest !?

you are asking impossible .... what you guys say is basically this :" hey guys , we don't need you and we hate you but if war broke , you should risk your lives for us and sacrifice yourselves for us and after war , just shout up again " ....

and for your knowledge , in past 4 years , Khatam El Anbia and IRIGC economic wing is the one who paying for Iran missile program ....

Government is not paying even for Army personal wage ...

So what? IRGC is a military organization, so they have the military power, With Khatam-al Anbiya Headquarters they have they the economic power too, And now you want to give them political power too?

You are taking steps in the right direction. The answer is no, the IRGC should keep itself away from politics and shut down Khatem Al Anbia خاتم الأنبياء Company that it operates. This is not possible, however, because no one gives up power willingly.
This Saudi creature is against it , so I'm in favor of IRGC civilian construction

The IRGC as a military organization itself is highly inefficient when one considers irans national interests vs. The Islamic governments interests.

and on top of this people also want it to take over and dominate the local economy?

The IRGC already sucks a disporprotionate amount of national defence budget (when compared to artesh). While limiting their talentpool to handpicked hezbollahi's from a religious background (while ignoring a very large, ( a clear majority) of talentpool of Iranians). if for example you are Rambo's bastard son, and can kill 50 enemy soldiers with your barehands. And apply for a job application in the IRGC. a batche akhond with proven family loyalties will get picked over you unless you can prove loyalty to the government. that's just 1 example.

On top of this, They want to distract from their primary role as a military organization and become the dominiant economic player as well? this will have disasterous long term consequences for the IRGCs battle readiness, economic development, and national growth.

Get the IRGC out of politics, the economy, and slowly merge them into the artesh or heavily reform them away from the shackles of their "Islamic identity"

of course all the development is from the irgc. They are around half the size of the artesh. and get 4times the official budget? (give or take on the numbers). On top of that, being the governments personal protection force. They get preferential treatment on any contract they wish. Given their near unlimited influence in the government.

the artesh themselves aid they barely get enough government budget to cover the salary. Do you really think the artesh is in a position to do anything? they have been purposefully driven to the ground by the government.

with that said. I don't even hate the irgc. Any achievement of theirs is an achievement for iran. But their current structure is not sustainable long term. Iran cannot stay a revolutionary Islamic country forever. simple as that. it either reforms, or eventually collapses.

and lastly as for irgc controlling the mullahs. That is true and false. They have enourmous influence in the government, but Khamenei still handpicks every top commander. and if you listen to any speech or interview by irgc generals. They go out of their way to credit (khayemali) Khamenei for achievements. on top of that the irgc is a subservient institution. They cannot exist on their own. they need something (the mullah regime) to protect to justify their existence. the akhonds and irgc are in mutually benefical relationship.

at least they have some development with that budget but look at guns sniper rifle how artesh made or thair tank z1-3 one of them have success perfectly no so its better we give budget to who have success like missile drone and ... artesh dont have success in air to and must of budget sepah take going to mass product missile look at Department of Defense they do nothing in 4 year but i say we have problem ideology why we must sacrifice ourselves for palestin or else for that stupid ideology which khomeini left us not irgc if we dont have bad friendship with west we are now is superpower but our people right now most of them believe in that stupid ideology which get us to hell

and about the operation contract of Imam khomeini airport which was supposed to be given to a Turkish (NATO member) company (TAV) which reportedly had connections with Israel too.

I just wonder what kind of Iranian would do such a foolish thing, and I don't find any better word rather than traitors. probably their goal has been facilitating the CIA's spy and sabotage plans.

nonetheless this BTO contract was given in a suspected case of corruption to a Turkish company.
This contract which has been sealed by the insisting of the reformist minister has been against the law, cause firstly, according to our law, Iranian companies are preceded in BTO contracts.
secondly at the time, this Turkish company hadn't offered any qualification document, and didn't have the FAI or IKAO certificate.

The reformist minister later was disqualified by Iranian parliament for several cases, including a corruption case of 1,600,000,000 toman expenditure for a few hours inauguration ceremony of the airport in 2004!

secondly even after this contract was voided by the special investigator of the khatami government, the new contract wasn't given to IRGC, also it was the general staff of the Iranian armed forces who ordered the blockade.

The funny thing is that last year another development contract was signed by a french company (bouygues) and after wasting one year, finally they said they have problem for financing the project!

so many lies by Zionists and MKO just to create a propaganda against IRGC economic activities.

No offense Mohsen, as usual, my problem with your posts are your sources....I listed the "Guardian" as my source about the airport corruption case, what did you list? Hardline, conservative mouthpieces. Sorry list some reputable sources and then we'll talk....I'm all for security of Iran. If indeed there is proof of the Turkish company has ties to Israel I'd be the first to applaud that decision....but posting blogs and known hardline news sources is not credible.
