Bomb blast outside Pak Navy office in Karachi kills one

KARACHI: A bomb went off outside a Pakistan Navy office in the southern port city of Karachi, killing at least one person and injuring three others.

The bomb was hidden in a motorcycle that was in a parking area for two-wheelers outside the office at the Naval Colony in Baldia Town area, police officials said.

The identity of the dead and injured could not immediately be ascertained. Police said two suspects were arrested soon after the blast.

The Pakistan Navy office disbursed salaries of naval employees. It windows were blown out by the blast, which also damaged several motorcycles in the parking lot.

Personnel from the navy and Pakistan Rangers cordoned off the site after the blast and launched an investigation.

Ambulances rushed the injured to nearby hospitals. No group claimed responsibility for the attack. Karachi is the main base for the Pakistan Navy.

i totally believe that India is involves in blasting & suicide attacks in Pakistan.Pakistan must to show same type of response in India.

^^^

1) there is no proof that india is involved. your believing so doesnt prove anything.

2) pakistan based groups have been carrying out bomb blasts in indian cities for many years now.

2) pakistan based groups have been carrying out bomb blasts in indian cities for many years now.

Both factually incorrect.

1. Proof has been provided to the states - Indian state, American state, Afghani state, etc. You remember when Musharraf came to Delhi in 2009 right? You remember what he said?

Just because you believe it doesn't exist or just because it's not out in public means nothing.

2. Technically speaking, a good part of the terrorism Indians claim to be coming out of Pakistan has no proof to it.

-------------

That being said, the current government has proven itself useless against TTP and their suppliers from RAW. I have long advocated covert ops in Afghanistan to take out RAW terrorist facilities in Afghanistan yet nothing such has been done to date.

I mean gee, a Pakistan navy facility is being targeted, it's common sense who would wanna target it the most.

1. Don't jump to conclusions. There is no proof either that India is NOT involved. That will be ascertained after investigations.

2. In most of the bombings in India, the groups involved were indian. There were always allegations that they were backed/financed/trained by Pakistan, never proven.

I don't personally think that covert ops should be an option. The Intel should collect sound evidence which should be flashed in front of India and the rest of the world.

There is already plenty of proof of Indian involvement and several army and ISI insiders would confirm this. So that's not the problem. The current government is unwilling to take any action against India and tackle the issue, probably due to pressure from the US or whatever reason.

Yeah he said the same thing. I have proof.

But how dumb can Pakistani diplomats be to not leak the evidence to form international public impression? And then they(including the PM) have the audacity to claim they have given proof even as the receiver rejects it. :hitwall:Still no public evidence. Sigh!

Why dont you ask your government for some proof yourself. I mean proof that sticks. Not ............................

Thanks dude. I REALLY hope this embarasses my government and they shut down all this black ops. Why go for all this when we are progressing well? India has enough pressure groups, strong enough left to shun these activities to the point of influencing them even when not in power. Besides there will be enough international pressure to ensure that.

cheers,
Ruby

Run of the mill simplistic indian argument.

The problem is with

A. US pressure
B. Proof is not automatically released to public (you can see this in other cases too) just because the public demands it. It is first given to the states to see.

Regardless, several insider army and ISI sources have made it 100% clear that RAW is heavily supporting TTP.

I am not here to have a debate about whether RAW is involved or not, you can believe what you want as per convenience. Of course your arguments rely on simplistic black and white view of things, but whatever, I couldn't care less.

omg! Why it not would be response to your army attack on mumbai

Yeah, yeah, of course evidence being rejected is a very black and white scenario. Interests play no part in that. Well whatever, like I mentioned, I am not interested in a debate on this.

raw is supporting ttp,u.s is firing ttp.u.s should talk to india abt this.anyway u.s allowed india to afgh.here u.s is against the indias interst.this theory making me confused.can anybody ellaborate that.

Run of the mill simplistic indian argument.

Yeah the proof claims dont need sophisticated arguments. Hence the run of the mill. Its plain common sense really. I dont get how you miss it. You have a chance to get back at India and you are not using it even knowing it is non-violent and internationally acceptable. Sigh again!

What is the problem with US pressure? They will pressure India if they know India is messing with you.

B. Proof is not automatically released to public (you can see this in other cases too) just because the public demands it. It is first given to the states to see.
Oh really?! What if the states refuse to comply? At least let YOUR people see proof if not theirs. What is the harm in making it public? Its not like your agents are going to be compromised. The playground is afterall Pak.

Dude! Dude!
So you are the kind who believes TTP is supported by India. I can't help you. The Baloch movement claims have some reason and grounds. But this one, against someone who is an avowed enemy of Indian Hindu rajya, no you cannot even make Osama Bin Laden believe that his kids are being helped by India. India should have learnt from Pakistans mistake in Afghanistam. Why will it rear a snake when it still spews poison in Kashmir? Why dont you apprise the Ameers of TTP, the Afghan Taliban about this help? After all they are brothers-in-arms.
