Boycott of Chinese goods fails in festive season, sale hits record high...

No Chinese electronic makers have set up facilities in India. Xiaomi's factories are stuck due to land acquisition issues and a lack of reliable power. So now Xiaomi is looking to lease Foxconn's facilities, but the problem is that Foxconn's projects are also stuck due to red tape over land and power.

Seriously, what the fock, India? All this talk about Make in India, and this is how you treat foreign investors?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised because all Indians do is talk, talk, and talk...

First. xiaomi has already set up its manufacturing unit with foxconn.. source - wiki - ''On August 11, 2015, it started its first factory in Sricity, Andhra Pradesh in a partnership with Foxconn.'' so there goes your baloon..
Second.. xiaomi launched first made in India phone called Redmi 2.. so there goes your another baloon..
third.. xiaomi itself is investing in india in huge way.. bringing jobs and money into india.. but what you failed to understand is that this boycott hurts small cheap toys.. crackers.. which comes illegal through porous border.. thats what boycott was for.. there goes your third baloon..

Interesting, with more than 10 times population, Indians spent less than half on clothing than Vietnam? What do they wear? :o:

Your probably don't know clothes are primarily Tradable goods.
Same-quality clothes in China will be sold cheaper than in India.

Well, cheap goods are irresistible to vast majority of Indians, and they just can't find the replacements for Chinese products. Apple sold $58 billion worth of their expensive products in China in 2015, but it barely managed $1 billion sales in India for the same year, including many refurbished iPhones.

Same with Chinese phones in india.
Chinese phones also have low, medium and high end.
In india, low-end phones are preferred, whilst in china, medium-high end phones are preferred.

I estimate the average selling price in China will be around $300, supported by strong sales of middle-high ends phones such as Huawei P9 ($450-650), Oppo R9 ($370-$450) and many other domestic brands including VIVO and Xiaomi.
(of course, Apple's second biggest market is still China though no longer a top3 brand)

Huawei P9
($450-650)

7-8 million units of Huawei P9 series has been sold worldwide (April-August).

Oppo R9 ($370-$450)
(10 million units have been sold in Q2 and Q3 in China)

So why not boycott Chinese investments? Buy no more Chinese power plants, pharma ingredients, smartphones, computers, etc.?

Why the empty talk all the time?

Ah no, Xiaomi is only LOOKING to set up a manufacturing unit with Foxconn in India. It's been less than three months since Xiaomi made the announcement. Not even China can build a factory in three months.

The Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has done spectacularly well in India. In view of the high demand for its phones here, Xiaomi is in talks with different state governments to set up a manufacturing unit in India. It already has an assembly unit in Andhra Pradesh set up in collaboration with the Taiwanese contract manufacturer Foxconn.

Xiaomi will also be partnering with Foxconn, best known as the maker of the iPhone, in setting up any new manufacturing unit in India...

o god.. somebody please help this fellow...
dude.. boycott was mainly for cheap toys.. crackers.. idols.. which comes directly through porous border by nepal or bhutan mostly.. at times when it does maximum profit during festive season which hurts our small indian company.. got it..
secondly.. good coming through black market doesnt have to pay tax in india.. that means 90% profit.. which is illegal anywhere in the world...
boycott wasnt meant for xiaomi.. or lenevo.. or gionee.. otherwise they would have been gone long time ago.. hell even my secondary phone is xiaomi note 3 with snapdragon which is better than chinese version.. :)

third. your wrong.. check wiki source i have given.. xiaomi has a plant already in Andhra Pradesh.. which it produced first made in india phone called Redmi 2.. these are latest reports..

Only 25 years ago China was behind India, and now India is desperate for Chinese capital and investment.

How did India fall so far behind?

The reason is simple: while Indians talked, talked, and talked, the Chinese worked, worked, and worked.

m done.. check my previous post.. and lastly level of stupidity you have shown are rare to find..

The level of bullshit out of you is extraordinary, even for an Indian.

They wear, nothing... Have you seen the street urchins in India? They are mostly half-naked with no shoes.
