Ukraine says Pakistan could be a regional partner for the joint production of Antonov An-225.

Why turboprops?

Pakistan's C-130 fleet is good for another decade. Opting for another transport aircraft/Tanker would be very ambitious.

It will get shot out of the sky before it even reaches the battlefield. A troop could locate it and warn everyone even with his naked-eye.
Better to go for smaller Antnov planes.
There are many of them.
If it would get shot down like that then why was it even made? It doesnt have to fly over enemy AA guns or into enemy Air Space.

If someone can talk about f22s and India. Then its justified lol
On a serious note, I think the reporter here made a mistake. He might have meant the smaller aircraft projects which Ukraine is working on.

An225 has never seen any action in any conflict. Its prime objective was to trasport big loads. I remember it bought the first metro coahes of Delhi Metro.

The An225 can be utilized to perform similar tasks just like the C-130 - expect used for more heavier roles.

Only one AN-225 was made primarily to transport Buran shuttle.
Also the ambassador here was misquoted he clearly reffered to An-140(he said the aircraft are in service with Iran and Egypt, both have on An140 in their inventory).

Brother opening mouth is very easy

Since our army is defensive force we drop them in inside our airspace where indian long range SAM has no coverage and it will drop the items start of war for fast deployment first six hours of war this beast can deliver firepower or medics ammo etc in bulk numbers

sorry but AN-225 hamari auqaat se bara plane hai
Hai plz hamari aukat pa lecture needed

Not bragging or any thing. But from a military perspective it can be used as refuler along with be used to deploy heavy laser guided gravity bombs.even immediate transport and deployment of air infantry. The army services corps air Bourne could use it to accomplish a number of tasks. But all that I have said will only be possible if Ukraine delivers us our new op lot more engine.
Strange but what will Pakistan do With Such Gigantic Plane...?

Refueling? Cargo Lift? Military Cargo?

and Which countries gonna buy this from Pakistan??

Hm, it's hard to decide who was drunk while giving this statement... The Ukrainian Ambassador or Mr @
Zarvan...?

An-124 makes perfect sense its equivalent to C5 Galaxy. but An-225 makes no sense what so ever.

Ukraine ready to boost defence ties with Pakistan: Envoy

This is all the positive impact of CPEC..this is what CPEC is suppose to do...capitalize on Pakistan strategic importance to materialize it into trade and manufacturing...

He must have meant AN-125 which is supplied to Iran and Egypt as per the remarks of Ambassador

Ukraine, he said, had already supplied the above mentioned cargo planes to Iran and Egypt, and other countries had shown interest to purchase it.
Pakistan could be a regional partner for the plane’s renovation/modification process to production, he added.
.

To a question about the prospects of Ukrainian investment in the CPEC project, he said, “We support this project and the Ukrainian companies would love to invest in CPEC projects as it would be a guarantee of economic stability of this region in the times to come.

It's a civilian cargo plane. Not a military transport plane.
You don't have to be in an enemy airspace to get shot. A MANPAD will do the trick.

Its an offer not a deal. Pakistan do need medium lift aircrafts for military but not theses monsters unless we want an air refuelling tanker with more capacity.

Pakistan is going to be an important air transit point for cargo forwarding to central asia..and eastern china...Its cheaper to land at gwadar and forward by road or rail rather than landing from Europe into deep Central Asia..AN-225 Has seen the busiest time at Karachi hauling cargo for Afghanistan...the same formula..can be replicated for entire central asia with CPEC in operation..
