In India old Muslim houses have raised walls which are pretty high than the Hindu ones..every entrance has either a gate or door which doesn't let outsiders see anything in their house..generally this gate is only a few steps away from the main door of the house.
The place in front would be very small..even then they would have this gate or door..in case there is no space in front the front door of the house would be kept shut always..you will hardly see it opened.

Of course modern Muslim houses are just like Hindu ones.
Do Pakistani Muslim houses look the same?

You know you can figure out obsession when he/she finds out patterns in things which don't make any logical sense.

Maybe you can put some pics to substantiate your observations.

In Pakistan the old Muslim houses are similar to the ones in India. Even now many modern houses also have high walls.

What do house have to do with the religion?

I thought house are built keeping in mind the climate of the area.

The houses built in east cannot be same as houses built in Europe. Houses built in mountainous area will not be same as houses built in plains.

If we extend your logic then in Pakistan people should not be wearing too much clothes due to hot weather.

Those people have the option of going to jungles in Africa and start wearing leaves.

The topic at hand is of "Muslim" houses and not of clothes.

@dravidianhero lets see some comparative pics of old muslim and hindu houses in India.
I tried for pics but I couldn't find one of a typical Muslim house(Urdu speaking Muslims)..
A typical Muslim house has a bit of a high wall with a door in front of the main door of the house..this door is always shut..in case of houses that don't have walls ,the front door of the house is always closed.
This is the major difference between an old Muslim and a Hindu house..Hindus generally use a purdah for the front door...they don't always keep their doors shut as it is considered inauspicious..Hindus walls are not so high..they don't have big doors to the walls..in fact they don't have any except a small gate .

I hope you got a picture of what I am saying..this is not true for houses of Kerala and Tamil nadu Muslims.

I dont understand what you are trying to discuss here. Are you trying to say that people were able to peek to hindu houses and not muslim houses? Also please do tell us more about Sikh houses and christian houses in old inda

Dear brother, open up maps.google.com search some city of your choice in Pakistan, zoom in and select terrain view and then you can see most of houses. Keep gazing over the areas that are of your interest, that will get you the most authentic data for your research about muslim culture.

There is also street view option, where you could feel how it looks like to be in street.

@others: please get ready for next thread on whats the size of pajamas (salwar) nada (holding thread) in pakistan. Are they of same size of Indian muslims pajamas (salwar) and do they tie double knots, or butterfly knots or scout knot.

The Muslim household have both high walls and conservative clothes. Muslim women wear even wear the conservative clothes behind the high walls.
