A Brief History of The Warrior Rajputs

This Multani guy have pretty poor understanding of history of rajputs biraderis in Pakistan. For exemple ghakkars are not known as rajputs but janjuas are. And both groups has fought each other centuries. He included ghakkars in list of Pakistani rajputs which mean he has no idea what he is talking about.
Until the last few decades, the brave Gakkars were always known as Rajputs, but now they are claiming some other origin.

Gakkars are very brave people. They always put up resistance.

I have to say that you are probably one of the best posters on this forum in terms of history especially. Very neutral and informative. You should post more mate, the historical discussions need more calmness and less bias.

Its more like retaining the former Hindu identity and former Hindu gotras. As being a Rajput is lot about prestige so former Hindu identity was retained, I never heard Butt of Pakistan calling themselves Muslim Brahmins since Brahmins are despised in Pakistani society.

LOL that is because Rajput caste is Kashatriya, no one says Muslim Kashatriya.

sir why Bin Qasim Attack on Sindh what was reason behind that attack ?

Two reasons, Dahir captured some Muslim ships and Dahir allowed some Shias to settle in Sindh.

It's always been the Rajputs of Rajasthan and Haryana who have shown resistance to foreign invaders. Both those states are in India. The few Rajputs of Sindh and Punjab have no such history. Bappa Rawal also was from 'Rajputana' (Rajasthan).

From Punjab it was always the Sikhs who showed resistance almost all whom live in Indian Punjab today.

Dulla Bhatti and his band of misfits. :coffee: Anyway most Pakistani rajputs are just descendants of people who migrated westward so their history is still from Rajputana.

Anyone knows the origin of Rajputs?

Rajput is not a tribe . Jats , Gujjars , hephthalites etc, assimilated to form Rajput community around 1500 years ago

Together with the Hephthalites in India, the Gujars also appeared, who were settled in Punjab, Sind and Rajputan, but a part of them afterwards moved into Malwa, an area later named after them - Gujarat.[Bivar 2003, 200; According to Bivar (2003, 200) the Gujars are ancestral also to the Gujar pastoralists who today frequent the higher elevations of the North-West Frontier Province and Kashmir]

As a result of the merging of the Hephthalites and the Gujars with population from northwestern India, the Rajputs (from Sanskrit “rajputra” – “son of the rajah”) formed. According to the Rajput tradition, the Hunas were included as one of the 36 Rajput clans[Banerji 1962, 57-58]

One of the Rajput clans still keeps the name “Hun”.[Литвинский 1996, 165]

In the 8th century AD the Rajputs moved into the rich area of the Ganges valley and Central India and created the large state under the name Gurjara-Pratihar. The Rajput rulers of the Tomars in 736 built the city Dhillika (modern Delhi) as capital of their state.[ 1 Smith 1907, 927-928; Медведев 1990, 134] Several scholars including D. B. Bhandarkar, Baij Nath Puri and A. F. Rudolf Hoernle believe that the Pratiharas were a branch of Gurjars .[8][9][10][11][12][13]

These conquests have transformed them to one of the decisive factors of the politics in India from the 8th century AD on. The Rajputs, during several centuries, remained in India as an united ethnic unit. In spite of the fact that Rajputs have adopted the religion (though special importance is added Sun) and language of local people, they were able to preserve their mentality and military customs. The Rajputs noticeably differ from their neighbours by nature, according special value to soldierly valor.

You know nothing about Jatt history. Jatts were terror to the Mughal 400 years ago . They also created kingdoms with sizable muslim subjects. Their power was so much that they attacked Akbar's grave and scattered the bones all around.

Lol grave vandalism is no sign of bravery though.

I've never heard of a Rajput clan called the "Huns", closest I could find are these:

Pakistani Rajputs are mostly low caste converts who took up the Rajput identity to get rid of their Dalit/Shudra past.

These Indians are butt hurt especially the "brahmins". Brahmin means dirt amongst Muslims because historically once Muslims took over the Brahmins fell to the bottom of the social order, the baniya and the kshatriyas were still useful for warfare and finance but what use were Hindu pandits? That is why most Pakistani Muslims who were Brahmins originally will not acknowledge it using Islamic surnames instead except the Kashmiri Muslims because in Kashmir all Hindus were pandits so they have no reason to pretend otherwise.

The Hon or Hun or sometimes also pronounced as Hoon are a Muslim Rajput tribe found mainly in the Potohar region of Punjab, Pakistan
Muslim Rajputs or Musulman Rajputs are Rajputs who practice Islam.[1]

These clowns say no such thing as Muslim Rajput though. :pop:

I doubt it would have made them that dark, have you seen the pictures?

Well they were not known for mixing with any other group but them? Although it is funny because considering they were Central Asian they should have still been a bit lighter.
