I think the engine problems are being resolved step by step. The system and components engineering of a new chopper is a immense undertaking when done without any foreign assistance. Indians are just jealous because after 30+ years they still can't assemble a LEGO Mig-21 (LCA) properly with all the foreign parts..

of course they are extreemly jealous, they are decades behind us and the gap is still increasing```as we are jealous of U.S too, but the only difference is we are closing the gap with U.S with our hard and progmatic work and the Indians are lagging further with their clueless rants

btw, the major obstacle Z-10 program faced was the engine```firstly they planned to use Canadian engines, but due to the pressure from the U.S, Canada walked out the deal, and so it took us so long to develop this heli

Good to know that the engine is Chinese. I didn't really follow the WZ10 much and just heard about it was going to use Canadian engines for the project a while back lol.

It is interesting to read this remark.

On the one hand, it gives a clear indication of the maturity and depth of understanding of the person posting about the process of aircraft design. It also gives an insight into what he, personally, thinks the process involves.

This is not to say that this impression can be applied to others, beyond this particular individual. If that had been so, China would have been struggling to make safety pins. The only conclusion possible is that the individual speaks for himself. We are fortunate.

It seems both the Indian and Chinese helicopters are being flown by the engines which have been developed with assistance from other and as of now the origin and specifications of the engine being used in WZ-10 is not clear.

The concerned engine is HAL/Turbomeca Shakti which was jointly developed by France and India.

LCH is yet have completely indigenous engine.
