But are they ready to move back to Pakistan permanently. Get job and set up their business there. Its the main question. In India, this trend is increasing, I would like to know if Pakistanis abroad are doing so or not.

Even cockroaches survive.

But then, I never heard of cockroaches taking pride in their ability to survive.

...and this is not true just for Pakistanis. It holds true for all the third world countries including India.

There could be nothing worse than taking pride in a poor man's ability to stay hungry and still not die.

Reeks of arrogance of the highest degree.

At the OP:

The article you posted said 2 Pakistanis sitting in the UAE didn't want to go back to Pakistan due to loadshedding, so I don't understand where you got your false title of: Pakistanis do not want to spend time in Pakistan

If they go back to Pakistan, will they be spending time in Timbaktu?

yes..............

lolz nothing new...i knew of a neighbor years back...went with his entire family to UAE/SAUDI dont remember, when they came back each had added 30 kgs ..even the kids :P...and the dad got AC fitted in every room ..dats right, every room...reason ?acclimation of children in AC environment. Those idiots used to scoff how hot the weather is outside and never ever went even for a walk outside.
Now when the DAD lost the job , he had to come back to India. Suddenly overnight, their level of patriotism sky rocketed. They started loving everything in their apni dharti..apni desh :)

Lack of basic amenities notwithstanding, i'm sure the article involved people with traits i listed above :)

During the Musharraf era, a lot of people did go back. I don't know how people have gone back during the PPP era but I'm sure theres still quite a lot (forum member Bilal Haider is one of them)

According to Azeem Ibrahim:

Since the recent international financial crisis and the global economic downturn, a number of skilled and educated Pakistani Americans and Canadians have begun to return home, as new job opportunities become available in fields such as healthcare, engineering, law, banking, information technology, mass media and industry. This is a welcome development for a country that has been noted more for its brain drain, with so many educated and ambitious Pakistanis leaving the country for better opportunities.

The future is too important to neglect. It is to be profoundly hoped that the trend will continue and that professional and skilled Pakistanis will continue to come home to help implement the civic and economic changes, so urgently needed in their communities.

Stop the trolling and move on......

Fact is, Pakistanis are amongst the highest asylum seekers in EU.

Fact is, Pakistanis are amongst the biggest visa forgerers in the UK, as per the British envoy to Pakistan.

Question is, why?

Fact is your stupid comment will make this thread a mud slinging contest.

Only if you don't want to give an honest answer.

How many wars has Pakistan fought with India since independence?

Ans - 4

How many dams has Pakistan built since independence?

Ans - 0

There lay your answer. It's all about misplaced priorities.

But then, as long as you are happy to wallow in your misery, who am I to say anything?
