What's new

Marvi Memon Joining PML(N)

So according to you pml-n is responsible for drone strikes, terrorism, violation of national sovereignty because they are ruling party in Punjab? lolzz

Yes, they are responsible as well. If I begin with the year 1999, had NZ the balls to say 'NO' to American instead of forcing our soldiers back from Kargil, things would have been a lot different and we would not be lapdogs of American.

And for CJ, they began a long march to the parliament. However, has there been even a small march or any march at all against drone strikes/terrorism etc.? The first time MQM left the coalition government, NS had a golden opportunity to introduce a 'no confidence' vote again the PM.....the government would have ended but he never so.

NS is happing in the opposition as long as they are allowed to eat Punjab!!

N-League is being run as a family business now; it's now a pseudo-monarchy; everything runs around Ganja and his family's vested interests.

In this scenario, N-League may have 'better' people, so what, Bhutto was a genius and economy crashed during his regime.

There is a need for honest and driven ideologues which are more likely to gather under PTI flag.

People in N-league are neither honest nor driven. They have been tested time and again.

Then, in that case, every party in Pakistan, including PTI (which resolves around IK) is also neither honest nor driven

Correct indeed. However, should I not choose the lesser of evils if given the chance? Personally I would like a government by Musharraf/MQM but I'll take PTI over PML-N/PPP any day because I'd rather try someone new instead of the same tried and tested combination.

But
MQM has been in every government (from last 10-13 years)...
AND
Musharraf has been Pakistan's longest President (8 or 9 years)...
SO
How is it new?

no matter how messed up let democracy run its course! besides PPP has found willing support in the form of MQM,ANP & PML Q! 4 years have passed give them another year. humnaay bardasht kaar liya for 4 years no point letting PPP become political shaheed! let them have 5 years and go away for ever along with its allies! Once and for ALL!

& what about the betrayers of PML N and PPP that joined PTI??

they made the right decision, we all know that only Imran Khan can do something about Pakistan's countless problems, nawazardari and all other corrupt parties can not bring change or revolution as ur avatar says.

Nawaz Sharif does not deserve Marvi but on this one PTI lost on four square.

Hashmi of PML-N was a junk, and PTI has proved that it collects only junk.

PTI need serious evaluation of its ranks, they have some ill adviser at helm of affairs.

PTI don't have a single patriot and true grass root worker like Marvi in his ranks.

Recently, IK supporters attacked Marvi's personality on TV, shows how much respect they have for women and clearly the main reason of Marvi joining PTI rivals.

Marvi...I just want to Salute you... on your thorough knowledge genuine depth of logic.

MQM has been an insignificantly significant part of almost every government since it's creation and they have worked wonders for Karachi. I am merely hoping that if they get power in the centre then they will perform for the whole country because unlike PPP or PML, they will be rejected if they fail to deliver as they don't have dependable ethnic roots outside Karachi/Hyderabad etc.

Musharraf was indeed president but he was surrounded by hawkish politicians who were eventually his downfall. He was doing great until 2005/06 and then his dependency on political parties grew to the point where mistakes turned into major turmoil. Just for an example, PML-N stormed the supreme court and manhandled the CJ Sajjad and what happened to PML-N? Nothing, but CJ Sajjad got the boot. So my friend Musharraf never really enjoyed the sort of power he had when he had minimum dependence on politicians.

Ofcourse, him shedding his uniform was the final nail. Even I knew that it was a mistake.

Who are you kidding mate? I can bet you that PPP will form the next government as well, unless something miraculous happens.

Ms Marvi Memon's joining the Pakistan Muslim League N is the new marvel of Pakistani politics. The lady has been a motivational maverick for many in Pakistan who has often moved like a whirlwind across the country espousing obscure causes and grabbing headlines. But her hooking up with the PML-N is a come down from where her fans might have placed her. This is one party that she had been bitterly critical of through out her short but exciting political career. She was the most die hard supporter of General Pervaiz Musharraf and even worked during his tenure as a director of Inter Services Public Relations on a fairly handsome salary package. She later on was given a job at the Board of Investment as a consultant. After Musharraf, whom her father, the former information minister Nisar Memon, still firmly supports, she drifted exceptionally close to the Chaudharies of Gujrat and became their informal spokesperson. She then resigned from the National Assembly and looked set to join the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf on whose platform she was seen waving and cheering crowds in Peshawar and Ghotki. All three of her political associations---Mush, Chaudharies, PTI---have been nightmares for the Nawaz League, the party that has now formally joined. Musharraf launched her, Chaudharies gave her the seat from Islamabad and the prospect of her joining Imran Khan gave her the bargaining chip with other parties. These three elements are something the Nawaz League cannot stand in national politics: Mr Sharif wants General Musharraf to be tried for treason; expects the Chaudharies to apologize to the nation and to him for backing Musharraf and believes that Imran Khan is the establishment's trojan horse deputed to bring his kingdom down. How would Ms Marvi now adjust to N's line on her previous three political stop-overs is anybody's guess. In theory this would be mixing oil with water. But we know that people like Marvi Memon are magicians. They can create situations to justify every or anything. You now watch her on television speak ardently in favour of Nawaz Sharif. And she will do such a fine job of it that you wont be able to tell that the lady not long ago was on the side of a military man who almost hung her new boss from the highest poll available in the country.

Saach - Vision For Truth!

the problem is that she was over valued by people for her speaking ability, she thinks she got some magic to turn things around... well Not true enough, had you remained independent you would have survived, but you axed your political objectives of Haq into Zia ul Haq.... nobody is buying this shhiitt !! :disagree:

PML-N may be better then PPP for Punjab but the way they have treated Sindh and especially Karachi during their tenures is just unimaginable. PPP is no better really. And the way both these parties have treated the rest of the provinces is horrific at best.

We really need a change in the centre. Even Military rule is better!
