US Drone Strike Kills at least 8 in North Waziristan

PESHAWAR: A US drone aircraft fired missiles in North Waziristan on Friday, killing at least 12 people, local intelligence officials said.
Express 24/7 correspondent Iftikhar Firdous said that a drone had fired rockets on a hotel and vehicles in the Datakhel area of North Waziristan. Official sources confirmed that a hotel and vehicle were targeted in the drone strike, while local sources said that six of the rockets had been fired at a religious seminary.
The area has been targeted by several drone strikes and is a stronghold of militant commander Hafiz Gul Bahadar, considered close to the al Qaeda-linked Haqqani network with whom US officials have accused Pakistani spies of ties.
This is the first US drone strike in Pakistan since US forces killed Osama bin Laden in a commando raid on May 2, straining ties between the strategic allies.

Developereo, I hope you have a poor understanding of how a armed service works, your understanding is based on your military. that's the reason you are asking India to prove its might by entering your sovereign space. The armed services in India and the Government of India would never violate your sovereignty. Because we still believe that some were in the dark there will be hope for the brothers and sisters in Pakistan to correct your mistakes of the past and look to form a better future.
As long as you consider India as a threat, your nations development will tumble as your defense expenditure will consume your GDP

Sorry for being a little off topic... but is there a thread on what China recently said?

You mess with Islamabad, you ll be messing with Beijing?

I don't think China ever said it. It was just some Pakistani teenager trolling.

I was talking purely about India's military capability, not the political likelihood of such an operation.

I say why India not do any strikes after 26/11 or here after it wont do. This is not bad move, its one of the cleverest move by GoI. Want the reason? Ha ha ha its simple but no one imagine this, that the plan to put pressure, divide, make fight with them, make choas, view and win policy. How may can understood this points?

China said NO such thing - it was rather a brain **** of an emotional member and nothing else.

Chinis are not fools to say such explicit words.

In fact the government (even more so the military) of India would love to violate Pakistan's sovereignty!

However, as Developereo pointed out, there's no big difference between India and Pakistan's military might, and the repercussions would be too big for India to handle.

In essence, no matter how much GoI and IA desire, they will not carry out such an operation. At least not in the near future.

Just think.

I assume the Pakistani crew of the ship issued a plea for rescue or assistance. I don't believe anyone in Pakistan asked the Americans to rescue us from OBL.

There has been one more drone attack today that killed 12 ppl, so its clear that the Americans have no plans of stopping.

Obama is getting desperate. Election time is approaching and he has nothing to show domestically for his first term. On the international stage, he presided over the loss of American stooges in Egypt and Tunisia, not to mention a far more muscular China and Russia.

This doesn't look good for Pakistan.

Actually there IS a difference if you mean the conventional might - enough difference to beat them fair and square - the game changer is the their nuke threshold.

Its a bluff that they have played well till now - a bluff that our political class has been unwilling to call (though for good reason that our primary focus is developing the nation from inside and the focus on economy). But you never know when a leader will actually call that bluff, as ever now and then some one like Indira do come.

He's got OBL, his second term is assured, well almost.
