I have been monitoring this thread with great interest right from the first post due to todays exceptional circumstances as I am sure the other 1000 guests viewing are to gain an informed insight into these events.

Some very interesting points raised however can I just say the large amount of ridiculous and pointless posts by 'indian' members is annoying to sift through as I am sure all would agree. I have no interest in their attention seeking sarcasm.

With the extra attention your forum is recieving right now these idiots are ruining the limelight for you guys, please address as this forum last time I checked is for the dicussion of pakistani affairs.

Yes, of course - it's all a conspiracy that most everything that stinks in Pakistan turn out connected to Islamism and the army. Yes, the Fauj and not the one million Afghans Mujahid defeated the soviet -- you should just stop regurgitating rubbish - think for a change

What's going to come after this, who is going to forget to ask the Pakistani authorities how come the world most wanted criminal lived in luxury in Pakistan

You think people will forget that the world's most dangerous criminal in the world living close to a Pakistan Military academy ??

Ok, you continue to live in fantasy land - see where it will get you.

You people are worried about these Indians posting here?? And you are not worried about what the Pakistan fauj and ISI has done to your reputations??

So it would have been better not to search for him and instead of using our assets to help in his capture/elimination we should have helped him escape to some other less objectionable area?
Just so that the world did not ask such a question?

The world needs telling that this was a scoundrel that caused the destruction of our peaceful existence and did so in all the Muslim countries which he plagued.
The world needs telling that we have helped kill/capture more Al Qaeda members than anyone else.

For once if we did achieve success we should feel sorry for it?
Should we have tried to orchestrate a drama and made OBL escape his hideout and try to kill him somewhere else, just to feel better that he was not killed here?
And what if in planning out such a perfect end to Osama he escaped and the world found out that we helped him escape just to look good?
His death removes the misconception that Pakistan protected him.

He could have been anywhere, it is a huge country.
I guess this was as unlikely a place as any.

Coming to the Pakistani role.
If Pakistani forces were involved in the execution we shall most likely not openly claim responsibility because of what happened after Lal Masjid.
At least i doubt that any formation/company shall be named.
The formation which took part in the Lal Masjid attack was bombed by a suicide attacker resulting in further martyrdom of many SSG veterans who were sitting in their own Mess hall.

Let us see how it goes, in a few days we shall see whether it makes sense or there is something that needs to be addressed.

Dont quote Indian media news , its an insult and offensive to PDF.....!

Some of THE LIVE NEWS PARTS.
13:21 PM After DNA test US buries Osama's body at sea:
US officials now say they have carried out DNA tests used facial imaging and other methods to identify the body of Osama bin Laden. The DNA test results will be revealed in two days.

His body has been buried at sea as the US does not want his burial place to become a terrorist shrine, officials have said.

The Saudi-born terrorist, who had evaded capture for a decade, was killed in a top secret operation involving a small team of US special forces in Abbottabad city, located 50 kilometres northeast of Islamabad and 150 kilometres east of Peshawar, Pakistan

"We are ensuring it is handled in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition. It's something we take seriously, and therefore, it's being handled in an appropriate manner,' ABC News quoted a senior Obama administration official, as saying.

Under Islamic tradition, the body would be washed by Muslim men and buried as soon as possible. and the face."

13:18 PM Why US didn't tell Pak about operation Kill Osama:
Pakistan was kept in dark till the operation to kill Osama bin Laden was successfully accomplished inside the country close to the capital Islamabad, US officials said.

After the four helicopters carrying US special forces swooped down and killed the world's most wanted man as he was holed up in a two-storey house, just 100 yards from the Pakistani Military Academy, US President Barack Obama called his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari to inform him of the mission accomplished.

"We are very concerned that he (bin Laden) was inside Pakistan, but this is something that we're going to continue to work with the Pakistani government on," a senior administration official said.

The Obama Administration shared intelligence on the bin Laden operation with no other country, including Pakistan, sources said.

"That was for one reason and one reason alone: We believed it was essential to the security of the operation and our personnel... that only a very small group of people inside our own government knew of the operation," an official said.

13:04 PM Osama's body disposed off at sea?:
Earlier in the day, the US officials said the body of al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, who was killed at Abbottabad in Pakistan today, would be handled in Islamic tradition, , without elaborating whether it will be taken to America or buried in Pakistan.

But now, unconfirmedreports suggest that his body has been disposed off at sea as per Islamic traditions.

12:52 PM Pak, Saudi refuse to claim Osama's body:
Rediff.com's Sheela Bhatt reports that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have both refused to take the dead body of Osama Bin Ladin from the Americans. According to an intelligence source, "Pakistan was asked to take the dead body of Osama Bin Ladin, which the country rejected, saying he was not a Pakistani citizen.

Saudi Arabia was asked to claim the dead body, but refused to do so. The body is still in the custody of the Americans and no one is allowed to visit the spot where the operation took place.

12:43 PM Facial images, not DNA identified Osama body:
US officials said they used facial imaging and other methods to identify the body of Osama bin Laden.

One official said it was clear to the assault force that the body matched bin Laden's description, but they used "facial recognition work, amongst other things, to confirm the identity."

A senior national security official said that they had multiple confirmations that the body was bin Laden, saying they had the "ability to run images of the body and the face."

The national security official would not confirm if DNA testing was performed.

Is this Osama's body?

Sir, you are missing the point.. The point being made is the proximity to the Pakistani Military academy..

It's probably not like next door or down the street. Even if its in the same city its not hard to claim close proximity. That Military academy is OUT Of Abottabad very close to tourist destination Thandiani. Once you get into a main city of Pakistan its easy to raise up circumstantial evidence and go aaah and oooh. I'm sure you'll find Zardari and Gillanis, chacha, mama taya living around as well.

You will need something concrete before raising an allegation which you are probably making that Pakistan had kept him there. It is a lot more plausible that he was living in hiding, hence a house with large fenced walls (which btw, is not that uncommon, My house's walls are 12 ft high too - it is to deter robbers).

I think he is not much value for India, our Al Qaida is LET.
His dealth is more symbolic, less real setback for Al Qaida, I think, as many are running his franchises.

amerikans claimed the operation to be joint, pakistan took a difference stance saying we were limited to intelligence sharing.

we are scared of backlash from terrorists!! smart thing by our government! something the common man won't get!

Obviously - for God's sake he was living in freaking luxury in a huge compound with 3 wives and family and no one knew?? Who in their right mind will believe such rubbish that they didi not know -- see there have to be all sorts of people around to support Bin laden there and all that the all seeing ISI did not notice?

So what do you think helped release the information? Makes me think it might be a great amount of pressure from the US that forced the Pakistani Intel Agencies to let go of the guy. After all, the US itself doesn't have a deep reach inside Pakistan to gather the such intel all by itself.

Very Sad news for me....:cry::cry::cry:

Hafiz Sayed,Lakhvi,Masoos Azhar, Syed Salahuddin etc.
are our hero's ....;)

No problem - I vividly remember the Islamic world from Pakistan to Palestine celebrating Osama as a hero not so long ago.

The transition from hero to villain takes just a split second - just one decision and I'm sure those scums will also become villains in your eyes, maybe 5 years down the line - like Osama.

A record 73 pages in 5 hours flat. This thread is going great guns.
