These pictures are enough to break a person with strong nerves!
A Turkish man Mesut, has been sitting all night, holding the hand of his fifteen-year-old daughter Armak Leila, next to the rubble pile under which his daughter's body was found. Armak remained trapped under the rubble and eventually died, Mesut knows that His daughter is no longer alive, but he doesn't dare or dare leave the daughter alone.
Natural disasters may be natural for nature, but for us they are just disasters.
Cherish your loved ones!
Love the loved ones of others!
Because love doesn't die under the rubble of natural disasters!

Sad and disheartening, so many precious lives, loved one lost.

Some drastic changes in construction technology can save lives, more use of steel frame and less concrete.

A highrise with central core and huge, stronger foundation are safer than apartments, offices of five to ten storey.

And lighter wooden, MDF, other wooden mix material used in earthquake prone areas.

Hopes fade for finding more Turkiye-Syria quake survivors as toll nears 16,000

Reuters
February 9, 2023

The death toll from earthquakes that struck Turkiye and Syria this week neared 16,000 on Thursday as hopes faded of many people being found alive 72 hours since the disaster and frustration simmered over the slow delivery of aid.

You Turks need to wake up fast, back in the early 2000's your Turks were like yeh I am a white man. They will let me in, all the way to the vip room .

Honestly, these Europeans have machinery that can help you, have they offered any then to you? Last I checked there was no machinery in the area to help the rescue teams. Specialised machinery.

You boys need to get your 5th gen fighter running soon. Form deeper economic-industrial- military ties with east.

For me that's Bangladesh-Indonesia-Malaysia.

For me Pakistan has a lot of potential, but their mentality has not changed and I do not see it changing. Theirvelite are the absolute worst out every country that I have a heart for.

Earthquake death toll crosses 19,000 in Turkiye-Syria

ISTANBUL (Agencies): The death toll from the Turkiye-Syria earthquakes has climbed above 19,000 as rescuers race to save survivors trapped under debris in freezing weather.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the death toll in his country from Monday’s deadly earthquake had now reached 16,170, bringing the total fatilities in Turkiye and Syria to 19,362, The Guardian reported on Thursday.

State officials in Syria said earlier on Thursday that death-toll at government controlled areas stood at 1262, while 1930 had been reported dead at rebel held areas.

Experts have said the toll of both dead and injured is expected to continue to rise sharply in the coming days. The Syrian Civil Defence group continued search operations through the night in rebel-held parts of Syria as the rescue effort crossed the 72-hour mark that disaster experts consider the most likely period to save lives.

“We are racing against time. Every minute counts,” tweeted the opposition group, who are also known as the White Helmets.

The group said hundreds of people remain trapped in the rubble in the town of Jandires in the province of Aleppo. Access to Twitter in Turkey has been restored, the Netblocks internet observatory has said. “The restoration comes after authorities held meeting with Twitter to ‘remind Twitter of its obligations on content takedowns and disinformation’,” Netblocks said.

Instead your fellow euros draw cartoons literally dancing on the bodies of those that are either dead under rubble or thier trapped and time is ticking against them.

More than 20,000 people are now known to have died after Monday's earthquakes in southern Turkey and northern Syria..

May the victims' souls be blessed, and may their relatives be granted patience. May the injured recover speedily. InshAllah.

It’s pure negligence on govt part to allow such buildings to be built in earthquake prone areas

Also turkey having experienced Many earthquakes should have thousands of volunteer teams with heavy & light machinery along with sniffer dogs on standby

If for say 7000 building collapsed that would mean 35,000-70,000 volunteers needed
