Indian source claims, India may resume oil import from Iran

Who decides what is a humilation ? what isn't ?
He's trolling, trying to flirt with Pakistanis for some strange reason. It's not like Pakistan has been acting any differently than India, if not worse. Pakistan has failed to complete her side of the gas pipeline for over a decade and now they are talking to Qatar.

As an Iranian, I'm sure Iran will sell oil to India, China, Pakistan or any country that is interested in doing trade with Iran. We trade with others based on national interests. Pakistan and India can settle their differences on their own or go to war with each other. It doesn't concern us to be honest.

It is even more embarrassing for a country to think it is "free" when they have ZERO control over their own central bank and currency!

It think it is more embarassing for a country turning over hard earned money to a petroleum cartel

Bro, are you sure about that? Indians will change their mind on a phone call. These guys have no shame. For God sake, read their comments again.

Pakistan went under a 30 years contract with Qatari Company. I'd call it a modern day robbery, since Pakistanis are in no way allowed to complain about the price of gas!. I always say Pakistan made mistake, they Choose an insecure way of importing gas, they faced energy crisis because of that and they lost a valuable leverage on both India and Iran. An artwork of Mr nawaz sharif.

Iran is under sanctions. Everyone knows USA is putting pressure on all of Iran's importers - China, Japan, South Korea, India, Western Europe. This should be no surprise to Iran.

For the record I have no opinions on the politics/morality of sanctions on Iran

On the Qatar-Pakistan deal business contracts are contracts and need to be honored. Now if corruption was involved there ought to be a way of nullifying the contract

So what? If India wants to reduce her oil imports from Saudi Arabia and import our oil, then that's good for us. Not only because we can sell more oil, but because Saudi Arabia will sell less oil too.

As for Pakistan, they were given a golden opportunity to meet their energy demands with profitable terms. They chickened out because of the US sanctions and their strategic ties with Saudi Arabia. I would say that Indians have shown more spine than Pakistan when it comes to US sanctions on Iran.

That's why i respect Chinese nation man. They acted Based on their national interest, that's for sure.
USA could block oil Flow to China if Chinese depends on Saudi oil more than usual, Chinese are aware of it and they act accordingly. But Indians, they Jump up and down after a phone call. Hilarious

Why do you think India is not acting on their national interest ? At the end of the day Iran wants to have a large customer base. You have no choice but go back to Japan, South Korea, India and Europe

By limiting your comment to some extent Yes you are right. But i hate selling oil. Its utter stupidity remaining from shah era. The case that non of our governments could end.

If India goes for national interest, we better lock our country for outside world keeping relationship with limited number of countries. Our growth is domestic.

We must move away from an oil-dependent economy for sure and we have made huge progress in this respect in recent years. But it doesn't mean that we shouldn't sell oil. We should reach a point where the money for our imports can be fully covered by our non-oil exports. But even in that case, we should still sell our oil. Even the USA that has by far the world's strongest and most diverse economy sells oil. So, why not us?

At a price of $60 per barrel, if we export a minimum of 2 million barrels per day, we will earn $43.8B in a year. That's a lot of money for our economy.

Better sell it soon as much expensive as you can as apart from electric, hydrogen operated vehicles will surely impact oil market..

We act on our national interest only. When it comes to a few $ cheap oil vs modern technology, we chose Technology. That Technology which will make oil a burden in a few decades. That technology which can send the sand dwellers back to camel business. So, we chose to opt for technology which can eliminate oil in a few decades.

Not in the near future. Even if electric vehicles become operational soon, many countries will continue to burn oil and natural gas for electricity production which means that they're still powering their cars with oil indirectly. Then there are ships and airplanes that will continue to rely on oil products. Not to mention that as long as organic chemistry is there, oil will be there too. People who think that oil is only used for transportation do not understand how almost everything near them relies on oil.
